This was my third time here at ARA, and I still can't recommend it enough! It's a home away from home for me - truly a special place. Everyone is always very welcoming and kind. The work you do gets appreciated and doing the different tasks is always fun. You have a lot of freedom when it comes to taking a dog somewhere and giving him a day out, or just taking some dogs on a walk. The place and the surroundings itself are beautiful! I can't wait to come back already, thank you for the work that you are doing here at ARA!💛

Liv is an outstanding volunteer.She is always ready to help and brings an incredible level of dedication to everything she does.Liv has a gift with dogs — whether they are shy or even more challenging, she connects with each one.Her training skills are great, and she spends extra time with the dogs to ensure they learn valuable behaviors.Beyond her work inside the shelter,Liv goes the extra mile by taking dogs on outings to nice locations, giving them the chance to enjoy the day outside

ARA is such an amazing shelter, with such good organization and communication within the team & the volunteers. The staff works so hard for the animals while always trying to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for the volunteers! The animals are able to live their best life before finding their forever family!

Carla is a wonderful and dedicated repeated volunteer at our shelter. She is friendly, reliable, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Carla consistently spends extra time with the dogs, takes them on extra walks,giving them the attention and affection they need, and she does what is asked of her. The animals benefit greatly from her presence. We are very grateful for her continued support and the kindness she brings every time she volunteers

I had a really good time at ARA, as always🫶 You meet so many nice people, both staff and volunteers. The animals are grateful for every minute you spend with them, and you can feel that. You get to experience so many wonderful moments with all the dogs and cats in the shelter :) This place gives you so much love in return for your work, and I'm always happy to come back.

We are so grateful to Alina for her month of volunteering at our shelter. She came several times and dedicated so much patience and care to our animals. Most importantly, she spent countless hours with Mayra, one of our most difficult dogs, showing her compassion and consistency when others often shy away. ARA is the perfect place to go to if it's your first time volunteering. The shifts are well organised. The staff is very very friendly and welcoming and they really want you to feel comfortable. As there is place for many volunteers, you meet a lot of new people, which is very nice if you go by yourself. They da great job at ARA, some dogs' transformations are literally insane. Don't hesitate to go there! :))

It was our first time volunteering at ARA – and we can honestly say it was a really great experience! The place is huge and provides everything the animals need. The daily routines are well organized: there are two shifts per day (morning and evening) and they don't just include walking the dogs and cleaning but also dedicated time to train, play and socialize with the animals. Between the shifts there's plenty of free time to explore the nearby town and connect with other volunteers. We had such a great time, met amazing people (and lots of lovely animals) and will definitely be back!

Hannah was a truly wonderful volunteer during her two weeks at our dogs and cats shelter. She brought kindness, positivity, and reliability every single day. She was not only caring and gentle with the animals, but also very responsible in keeping the volunteer house clean and organized, which made a big difference for everyone. What impressed us most was her dedication—she even worked on the day she left, showing her strong commitment and thoughtfulness. We are very grateful for her help!

Sara stayed with us for two weeks and was a wonderful volunteer from start to finish.Always cheerful and smiling,she brought such positive energy to the shelter.She spent a lot of time with Brutus, one of our dogs who needs attention, and it was niceto see the bond they created. Sara was hardworking, responsible, and never hesitated to help wherever it was needed.What impressed us most was that she even worked on the day of her departure, showing true dedication.We are very grateful for her work

This was my third time at ARA and it definitely won't be the last time. The shelter is truly amazing. Once more I was impressed to see that everything is given for the animals. The staff take very good care of the volunteers, organize the shifts very well and you can tell that your work is appreciated. I enjoyed every second of working here, whether it was cleaning, walking the dogs or socialising with the animals. You also have plenty of free time. ARA will always have a special place in my heart and I will come back as soon as possible! I can't recommend volunteering at ARA highly enough.

We were so fortunate to have Stefanie volunteer with us at the shelter. She is an incredibly proactive and responsible volunteer who always went above and beyond what was asked of her. Not only did she handle her tasks with great care, but she also took the initiative to fix and improve things around the shelter.Stefanie has a natural gift with animals – patient, gentle, and attentive – and it was clear how much the animals trusted and loved her. She was always punctual and very hard working

ARA is a wonderful place that lovingly cares for so many dogs and cats without families. I was truly impressed by the excellent organization and the quality of care provided to the pets. The working hours during the shifts were always respected. I'm happy to have contributed for two weeks in a beautiful shelter with such a noble purpose. Well this was my first solo/ volunteer experience and it certainly won't be my last here. I had the most amazing 2 weeks having met so many amazing people and getting to work around such sweet dogs and cats. ARA is run so well everything is just amazing, the staff are wonderful and make you feel very welcome, you have plenty of freedom between shifts to do what you please such as socialising with the dogs/ cats or exploring what's around. Honestly I could not recommend this place more thank you so much for such a wonderful experience and I hope you would have me back at a later date ❤️
