It was my second time at ARA and I had again just a wonderful time! The three weeks flew by and I can't wait to be back soon! Spending so much time with the dogs and cats is just amazing for every the shelter lover. The animals and people you meet quickly grow a place in your heart. 🫶 I really can't recommend this place enough!

First time at Ara and going back for a second time is already certain, needless to say it is a wonderful place to be at. The staff & co-volunteers were all good hearted, amazing people that made the place feel like home very quick, positive & always supportive of each other. The location is great, the nature beautifully calming. Time passes by insanely quick, work does'nt necessarily feel like work, spending time with the animals & to feel like making an impact on their lifes -no matter how small- was enormously beautiful and fulfilling. Would & will recommend Ara to anyone that loves animals.

Franziska stayed with us for three weeks and proved to be a wonderful volunteer from the very beginning. She was caring, responsible, and truly dedicated to the dogs’ well-being. She spent a lot of quality time with them, always attentive to their needs. I had a great second stay at ARA! It was wonderful to spend so much time with all the dogs and cats and my stay was just as great as the first time. I was also happy to see many people again and to meet so many new ones. Can't wait to be back! :))

This experience was genuinely one of the most memorable stays of my lifetime. The shelter is almost like its own contained little world, where you are surrounded by the most amazing people and animals. And the nature as well, breathtaking. Time went by insanely quick, but didn't feel wasted at all, even the smallest tasks felt important. Its amazing to see animals slowly come out of their shells or get adopted. This shelter is well organized and has a really positive vibe. At the end of the day I always felt happy, and tired (in the good way). I recommend this to everyone who loves animals!

My 3rd time in ARA and it most definitely won't be my last! It is my home away from home! I always love everybody I meet there and all the staff are so lovely! It is always such a fulfilling experience! And almost everyone I meet there comes back which I think really says something about how great this place is, it is truly special! It was my second time at ARA, and I had just as much fun as my first visit, if not more! Knowing the Shelter's routine, I was able to spend even more time hanging out with the dogs and cats and training the dogs with the staff and trainer's help. The location is truly special, and I feel a deep connection with it and all the dogs. The staff is amazing, so helpful and flexible. I definitely plan to come back soon because I feel like I've found a second home here.

Diego volunteered with our shelter for four weeks, returning right after Christmas to help at the beginning of the year, and his dedication was outstanding. He spent a great deal of quality time with the dogs, showing exceptional patience, consistency, and compassion. This was my first time volunteering at an the shelter, and it was an incredible experience. :) The work itself was nice, and i enjoyed every second of it. The dogs and cats are incredibly lovely and I loved spending time with them. Everyone was extremely kind and welcoming from the first day and I had so much fun! The town is also really nice and the beach is not that far either, which made the whole experience even better. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who loves animals and wants to make a difference while meeting amazing people. :)
