Mi experiencia en ARA fue muy buena. Dudo que pueda agregar mucho más de lo que dicen todas las reseñas previas, pero sí afirmar que cumple con la expectativa. El trabajo realizaado allí es muy bueno, las instalaciones para los animales están muy bien diseñadas y adaptadas. Se está atento al bienestar de ellos y se busca socializarlos y conseguirles una familia. El ambiente de trabajo es muy bueno, el staff y los voluntarios que me encontré allí en general tienen todos muy buena energía y ganas de colaborar en un proyecto tan importante. Definitivamente recomendable y espero algun día volver!!

Raquel has been an exceptional volunteer at our dog and cat shelter. Her dedication and compassion for the animals are truly remarkable. Segunda vez que vuelvo y no puedo irme más encantada. Desde 2019 que estuve he visto muchos cambios y mejoras, como siempre es un placer poder ayudar a todos los animales del refugio y conocer a personas de otras partes del mundo con el mismo interés. Espero volver una tercera vez.

It was my second time at ARA and I had again just a wonderful time! The three weeks flew by and I can't wait to be back soon! Spending so much time with the dogs and cats is just amazing for every the shelter lover. The animals and people you meet quickly grow a place in your heart. 🫶 I really can't recommend this place enough!

First time at Ara and going back for a second time is already certain, needless to say it is a wonderful place to be at. The staff & co-volunteers were all good hearted, amazing people that made the place feel like home very quick, positive & always supportive of each other. The location is great, the nature beautifully calming. Time passes by insanely quick, work does'nt necessarily feel like work, spending time with the animals & to feel like making an impact on their lifes -no matter how small- was enormously beautiful and fulfilling. Would & will recommend Ara to anyone that loves animals.

Franziska stayed with us for three weeks and proved to be a wonderful volunteer from the very beginning. She was caring, responsible, and truly dedicated to the dogs’ well-being. She spent a lot of quality time with them, always attentive to their needs. Franziska created a special bond with Tucano, showing great patience and affection, which helped him feel safe and confident. We are very thankful for her support and would happily recommend her.

I had a great second stay at ARA! It was wonderful to spend so much time with all the dogs and cats and my stay was just as great as the first time. I was also happy to see many people again and to meet so many new ones. Can't wait to be back! :))

Luisa spent one month volunteering at our dogs and cats shelter and quickly became a valued part of our daily life. She was reliable, kind, and genuinely committed to the well-being of the animals. Luisa showed special dedication to two very shy dogs, happily feeding them every afternoon and patiently building trust with them. Thanks to her calm presence and consistency, both dogs made visible progress and became more confident. We are very grateful for her help!

It was my second visit to ARA and it was just as wonderful and special as the last time! I immediately felt welcome, and it was heartwarming to see all the dogs and cats again, even though thankfully many have already been adopted! :)) It already feels like a little second home to me, and I can't wait to come back. 🫶🏻 I can truly recommend this place to anyone who loves animals and wants to make a positive contribution to their lives at the shelter.

Nehle volunteered with us in December and chose to return again this month for almost three weeks, which already says a lot about her dedication. She is a very committed and caring volunteer who truly enjoys spending time with the dogs, often even during her free time. Her presence is calm, reliable, and appreciated by both the animals and the team. We are extremely grateful for her continued support and would happily welcome her back again in the future!

This experience was genuinely one of the most memorable stays of my lifetime. The shelter is almost like its own contained little world, where you are surrounded by the most amazing people and animals. And the nature as well, breathtaking. Time went by insanely quick, but didn't feel wasted at all, even the smallest tasks felt important. Its amazing to see animals slowly come out of their shells or get adopted. This shelter is well organized and has a really positive vibe. At the end of the day I always felt happy, and tired (in the good way). I recommend this to everyone who loves animals!

Norman’s return for another 10 days was truly wonderful for our shelter. He is an outstanding volunteer who brings patience, kindness, and real dedication to everything he does. He gave so much of his time to our cats, who often receive less attention, making sure each one felt seen and cared for. He also built a special bond with Egas, one of our most lonely and challenging dogs, showing incredible empathy and commitment. Norman’s presence made a genuine difference, and we are deeply grateful!
