Mi experiencia en ARA fue muy buena. Dudo que pueda agregar mucho más de lo que dicen todas las reseñas previas, pero sí afirmar que cumple con la expectativa. El trabajo realizaado allí es muy bueno, las instalaciones para los animales están muy bien diseñadas y adaptadas. Se está atento al bienestar de ellos y se busca socializarlos y conseguirles una familia. El ambiente de trabajo es muy bueno, el staff y los voluntarios que me encontré allí en general tienen todos muy buena energía y ganas de colaborar en un proyecto tan importante. Definitivamente recomendable y espero algun día volver!!

Segunda vez que vuelvo y no puedo irme más encantada. Desde 2019 que estuve he visto muchos cambios y mejoras, como siempre es un placer poder ayudar a todos los animales del refugio y conocer a personas de otras partes del mundo con el mismo interés. Espero volver una tercera vez.

Choosing ARA as my first volunteer project was the best decision I could have made. The animals, the people, and the whole place grow incredibly dear to you very quickly. The work and the working hours are really fair, and you also have plenty of free time! The entire team is very friendly, open, and always helpful, so you quickly feel welcome and integrated. All the dogs and cats are really well cared for, and it's a joy to be able to help out with that every day. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and can wholeheartedly recommend a stay at ARA to everyone!! :))

I had such a wonderful time at ARA! It was my first volunteering project and I am so glad that I decided to choose ARA. I can truly wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone! You immediately feel welcome and the people and animals you meet are just amazing. Everything is well organized and the animals are really well cared for. I would really like to thank the entire ARA team, the other volunteers, and the animals for allowing me to have this wonderful experience! I'm already looking forward to my next visit, because I will definitely be back :)

Charlotte volunteered with our dogs and cats shelter for four weeks, and she was an excellent volunteer throughout her time with us. She was reliable, hardworking, and always completed her tasks with care and dedication. Charlotte worked very well with both the animals and the team, showing kindness, patience, and a positive attitude every day. She was friendly, respectful, and always willing to help wherever needed. Her contribution was truly appreciated and we would be happy to have her back!

My time at ARA was amazing. It was a really welcoming place and I enjoyed structure and freedom during my stay. There is clearly a lot of love for the animals there and the staff are incredible. They were patient teaching newcomers the ropes. The work they are doing is life changing for animals and people alike.

How. An I describe this amazing experience? Ara is truly an incredible place dedicated to helping animals. The center is very well organised and I felt welcomed from the moment I arrived. My experience with the staff was excellent , The communication was clear, kind and professional. All the volunteers were truly commited to the cause. I completely fell in love with the location, and most of all, with the shared purpose: helping animals to find their forever homes. I'm already planning to come back as soon as possible to follow up with the dogs and cats. This experience really touched my soul

Ara is an amazing place ! Being able to be a part of it was an incredible experience. I recommend it 200%, if you love animals. Cats and dogs definitely need some love! I really had a great time volunteering at ARA. Since it was my first volunteer experience, I didn't know what to expect, but the friendly and competent staff, as well as the other volunteers, made me feel comfortable right away. Working with the dogs every day was incredibly rewarding, and it's clear that the animals are very well cared for. Also Loulé is a lovely town and easy to reach on foot, which made my stay even nicer. I can genuinely recommend this place to anyone and would love to come back!

Dominic was a great addition to our shelter during his 3-week stay. He quickly became a dependable and supportive volunteer, always approaching every task with enthusiasm and care. He hosted two of our kittens in his accommodation and looked after them wonderfully, ensuring they were well-fed, safe, and comfortable. His gentle manner helped them feel secure and loved.
