Holly has been an outstanding volunteer at our animal shelter. She is incredibly friendly, responsible, and always ready to help whenever needed. Holly has a natural way with all of the dogs—patient, caring, and attentive—which makes a huge difference in their well-being. What stands out most is her willingness to go the extra mile, whether it’s spending extra time with our dogs, helping out with additional tasks, or stepping in where support is needed.

Clara is an outstanding volunteer whose dedication and love for the animals are truly inspiring. She spends countless hours with our animals, often staying even after her shifts to give the animals extra care and affection.Clara goes above and beyond by taking the dogs on additional walks and outings to the park, ensuring they have joyful experiences and feel deeply loved. Her commitment, kindness, and tireless efforts make a tremendous difference in the lives of the animals.

ARA is a great shelter. Everytime I am there, I meet new people and with that even new friendships. The Team is amazing as well. You can see how passionate and loving they are towards the animals and how serious they take their work. It's always sad to leave, not only because You are leaving all the precious animals behind, but also because it's such a fullfilling workplace. At the End I can just say: remember that this is not only cuddling and a cheap vacation. We work as a team to help provide a nice stay for the dogs/cats. :)

This was now my third time at ARA and I will be really happy to come back next year! The dogs and cats are fantastic and you'll meet lots of great people! In most cases, everything is well organised and one can tell that the staff loves the animals. See you again next year :)

I spent 3 weeks at ARA and could not have had a better experience! I immediately felt welcomed by the whole staff and volunteers. The shifts were all a good combination of walking/socializing the animals and taking care of the facilities. I especially liked the instruction days with Hugo and learned so much about the shelter behavior and training. I appreciate you guys for having me and would love to come back in the future:)

I had the most amazing time at ARA again. When you are someone who truly cares about the well-being of animals you should visit this place. Would recommend to go there. Besides having the feeling that you can truly make an impact in the life of the shelter dogs and cats due to cleaning, walking and socializing you will also meet like-minded people from all around the world.

She is highly responsible and consistently spends extra time with the dogs, often taking them on enriching outings to the beach or into town to ensure they are happy, healthy, and well-socialized.
