Volunteering at the hostel was the best decision I have made on my travels! It was a great place to start my Worldpackers journey, I recommend it for anyone wanting to explore nature and to are interested in meeting new people from around the world. The tasks are easy and can be completed within a couple of hours each day. Big shout out to Lisa, she will show you the best hidden gems and take you on great adventures and makes everyone feel welcome. I hope to visited again in the warmer months!

It's the people not the place that makes the experience. However in the hostel I had great people around me and a beautiful place. Like a long term sleep over with friends, this was exactly the experience I was looking for and I highly recommend it. Just keep saying yes to whatever plan Lisa offers and see what the world has to offer. Lisa is like a trained secret spy, she will save you and show you the ropes whenever needed. All the best to my niuniuniu friends at the hostel.

I had such a great time at Hickers! I spent Christmas and NYE there with lovely people, and was able to see the beautiful Tatras mountains, cook and bake (great fully equipped kitchen, which is too rare to find in hostels), go to hockey games, the list goes on and on. I am super grateful I could find such genuine and fun people there; there was such a good, friendly vibe at the hostel. I particularly want to thank Lisa for her kindness and honesty. Lisa, you are such a nice person, and from the bottom of my heart, I wish you the very best.

I had the absolute best time at the hostel. Thanks to our manager Lisa and all the volunteers who made my stay here so special. The work was pretty easy and we had plenty of time to enjoy hikes in the mountains and by the frozen lake, hockey games, hot springs, museums, food, the northern lights and Tatratea. Watching movies and cooking together really made the hostel feel like home. Thanks for many snowball fights 🫶

I had a great experience at the hostel. Lisa and the other volunteers made the experience so much fun :) The nature in the surrounding area is beautiful and Lisa brought me on many hikes which meant I could safely enjoy hiking in the snow. I got to go to an ice-hockey game, go to museums, visit nearby cities and try traditional food! The work was easy and only took up a very small part of the day, also the hostel itself is very warm and cosy !!
