My stay at Sherpas hostel was exactly what I was wanting out of this trip. The work is very easy & I was often told I was doing too much, basic cleaning, changing beds & helping guests with any questions. The hostel feels like an apartment/home less than a hostel. There is plenty of time outside of the work to go hiking in the hostel which are gorgeous. Lisa the employee there is very kind and friendly and will help you with any questions you have as the hosts are usually busy doing other things. Thank you again Maťo, Marian and Lisa. I hope I will be back. Good luck with the new hostel :)

My stay in the Hostel was awesome. It makes you feel like at home because its a apartment looking hostel. Tasks were simple and easy to do. I am very glad i had the chance to meet other volunteers or guests. I wish you all the best and luck with travels and future in general. If you are looking for connection with people or even nature, i fully recommend this Hostel for you :) Once again, big thanks for Mato and Marian for giving me the opportunity and big thanks to everyone i met for support, help and unforgettable memories ❤️

When I took this position I was expecting that the majority of my stay would be spent hiking and not much else, but it ended up being such a fun and interesting part of my trip because of the people I met along the way. The other volunteers I was with were awesome, Lisa, an employee there, was super helpful and kind and the hosts are also very friendly and organized fun activities for us. The work is very straightforward and minimal, if you're a proactive volunteer you'll be able to have lots of free time. Had a great and memorable time :)

The Stay at Sherpas Hostel was the best experience on my journey so far. The Work is easy, The place truly feels like Home and the Nature around is incredible. But the people I met there and the activities we did together made my time so special. In the beginning I thought that 2 Weeks would be too long and would get boring. In the End it was hard for me to go. If I'm ever going back to slovenia I will for sure choose the Hostel again. You can expect breathtaking hikes, an amazing Hostel life and enjoy the wonders of Tatratee.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel, perfect for anyone who loves hiking. It feels like a true immersion in nature, and I really appreciated that it wasn't in a 'resort' town. The public transport links are reliable and cheap, albeit only coming every hour. The hostel is cosy and homely and is very easy to feel at home. The work itself is very flexible, with no formal organisation, it does feel very volunteer-y. The hostel is easy to clean and manage.
