I had such a great time at Hickers! I spent Christmas and NYE there with lovely people, and was able to see the beautiful Tatras mountains, cook and bake (great fully equipped kitchen, which is too rare to find in hostels), go to hockey games, the list goes on and on. I am super grateful I could find such genuine and fun people there; there was such a good, friendly vibe at the hostel. I particularly want to thank Lisa for her kindness and honesty. Lisa, you are such a nice person, and from the bottom of my heart, I wish you the very best.

I had the absolute best time at the hostel. Thanks to our manager Lisa and all the volunteers who made my stay here so special. The work was pretty easy and we had plenty of time to enjoy hikes in the mountains and by the frozen lake, hockey games, hot springs, museums, food, the northern lights and Tatratea. Watching movies and cooking together really made the hostel feel like home. Thanks for many snowball fights 🫶

I had a great experience at the hostel. Lisa and the other volunteers made the experience so much fun :) The nature in the surrounding area is beautiful and Lisa brought me on many hikes which meant I could safely enjoy hiking in the snow. I got to go to an ice-hockey game, go to museums, visit nearby cities and try traditional food! The work was easy and only took up a very small part of the day, also the hostel itself is very warm and cosy !!

Truly a wonderful experience!! The hostel is located in a small town, but the experience was extremely fun. As a volunteer, there are lots of things you can do every day, and the manager is also incredibly kind. You can go skiing or hiking with other volunteers or guests. Since we work at the hostel, most of the time we need to stay there from 11 o'clock to 2 o'clock, and in winter the sun sets around 4 pm. Because of this, most hikes need to be done in the morning, which I would highly recommend—the sunrise is absolutely stunning!!!!

I had a great time during the holiday season at the hostel! Lisa is super sweet and led us on some great hikes. This is a great opportunity to meet other volunteers and guests and make new friends! The work was pretty chill, and the hostel is so cozy and warm, so its a great place to have a quiet holiday, explore the mountains, or ski.
