It's now been my second time at ARA and I again absolutely loved it!! You can tell how much the staff cares for the cats and dogs and appreciates the help of the volunteers. There's so many great animals there and you'll meet many friendly people from all over the world. I can't wait to come back <3

We had again three amazing weeks at ARA. Its great to take part in helping animals on their journey to a new home. At ARA there is a dog trainer coming twice a week that gives very usefull advice on how to train dogs which helps a lot to make them more ready to be adopted. Furthermore, its also great to work with many other volunteers and we will certainly come again.

I absolutely loved my time at ARA, from getting to meet all the wonderful animals to working with the amazing and kind staff and volunteers. I've made some amazing friendships and bonded with so many animals who I really wish I could take home with me. The animals were treated with lots of love and respect and the staff, as well as other volunteers, were incredibly helpful with any questions I had. It was a genuinely welcoming environment. The accommodation was also very nice, and there are lots of great places to spend your time off. I really hope I get to come back to ARA someday again :D

I am very happy that my first experience with Worldpackers was ARA. I was able to experience many great, beautiful and unforgettable moments. It is a beautiful place, working with the animals is so much fun and doesn't feel like work and you immediately fell in love with every the shelter. you will also meet so many new volunteers and make new friends. This experience was like nothing I had ever experienced! It was amazing ! I learnt so much and met the next people. The host of this organisation is so good! Always good at replying, setting goals for us and encouraging the volunteers. The accomodation was amazing! Everything was very equipped with towels and bedding provided as well as washing machines. The dogs are amazing and are really cared for by the staff. The area is in a great location, a little out of Loulé however Ubers and walking to the town centre is very cheap and fast.

This trip was amazing. We stayed for 4 Weeks and met some of the nicest and most welcoming people there! 🫂 But not only the volunteers welcomed us with open arms, the staff as well. The animals are treated amazingly there and even though you work in the morning and the afternoon you have enough free time to relax and explore😻 I can't recommend this place enough! We will come back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

ARA is a magical place and I can recommend volunteering there to anyone. You get to make so many new special friends and meet the best animals. I've been there for the second time now and will definitely be back. The work is done quite quickly when everybody works well and efficient together and between shifts you can spend more time with the dogs and cats or go on nice trips to the beach or the town that is close by which has a great market. The staff are all so passionate about their work and really do their best to make the animals and volunteers happy. 😊
