Incredible experience at the organization! It was my 1st volunteering and I loved it. The work is as described (mon/tue/thu at kitchen or clothes shop) and people are very nice and welcoming. You have enought time to explore cities nearby (take a deutchland ticket!). The appartment for volunteers is great and I had the chance to be with amazing people. Thanks for this marvellous adventure!

I really enjoyed my time at the organization. I primarily worked in the kitchen and the tasks were fairly simple and straightforward. Marie is a jewel and I had a wonderful time working alongside her. Kai and Yannik were very helpful and there to answer any questions. It was a wonderful opportunity to do good work in service of others and there was ample time to visit the major cities nearby (Essen, Cologne, etc.).

Volunteering at the organization was an enriching experience, thanks to Yannik and the welcoming team who created a supportive environment from day one. The meaningful work, particularly in the kitchen, not only allowed me to gain valuable skills but also connected me to a community dedicated to hard work and kindness. The location and ample free time gave me the chance to explore nearby cities, adding adventure to my stay. I'm grateful for the experiences, new perspectives, and friendships made, and I leave with a full heart, hoping to return in the future.

The organization was a beautiful place to meet amazing people from different cultures. I learned a lot from them in this place. The local team is also lovely and understanding. In this volunteer experience I had so much free time to explore, work and have fun. I would 100% recommend this place as it was great in many ways to stay here for 5 weeks.

We worked 3 times in a week. The kitchen work was more demanding than of the 2nd shop. Still, it was more fun. There were times, we had to peel lofs of potatoes or cut carrots and potatoes. It can be boring sometimes.Still, Mary was very nice to us. She is really kind and understanding. I also worked with Rutz and Heike. They were very friendly and nice too. It made me wanting to work more. We were 4 of us. The 2 people worked in the kitchen and 2 were at the 2nd shop. 2nd shop can be dusty and made me sneeze often. Though, It was good. We were flexible and chose where to work by ourselves.

I really enjoyed the time that I've been there. The tasks are pretty easy and there are lots of free time to travel to other cities or walking around Duisburg. The staff in the kitchen is so kind and it was a nice experience to help with the activities and needy people. Besides I could know people from all around world, making friends, practice english and a little bit german too.

The experience I had here was lovely. The work are chill and there are lots of free time, so I get to travel to the other cities nearby almost every week. The people that I work with are amazing. Shout out to the chef โ€”Mary, who are super lovely and caring; to the manager-Yannik, who makes everything happen, always open for help and really care about everyone here. Recommend everyone who love to improve their German or love to have some local travel tips to help out in here:)

It was one of the best places I've ever volunteered, it was really cool to help in the kitchen to serve food to people who need it. You have plenty of free time to explore Germany and a room to yourself. I highly recommend it!
