The Experience

Here you can learn more about permaculture and a sustainable, self sufficient life in nature and how to make the world a better place. We are turning our 12 hectares into an edible landscape where tourists can camp and enjoy nature. You can help us with the animals, work on the terrain, in the garden and the food forest. After the intro week we will discuss what more you want to learn, what you enjoy the most and how you can contribute best.

Meeting Barbara, Peter, Nol, Fleur, and all the wonderful cats, dogs, and chickens at the project was an enriching experience. I felt like I was a part of the family. The knowledge I received is something I will definitely be implementing in my own personal life. This was definitely my favorite volunteer experience, and I hope to return again one day.

DIdn't we already write a 'necessarily with Kiran' - beautiful - review? How is that possible? She is such a delight to have around. And I see she wishes to be back one day. Well Kiran is welcome back without any dounbt or hesitation. Recommendations for any wellthinking host therefore. The way she is one can learn so much about quality ways of thinking. And laughing about serious things in life. Making fun about all the heavy issues that are plaguing the planet, nature and humanity. Together we solved all problems sent letters far and wide. Joking of course, but it is so much fun to be able on the ons side to joke about things, and on the other to contemplate core issues. And having a great time together.

Peter, Barbara, Noel and Fleur, Thank you for opening your home and farm and forest for me to be experience. I really enjoyed trying to master the wood fired oven and cooking eating and having a few drinking together. A great collaborative experience with Noel who was open and engaged in learning and sharing new cooking experiences. This was my first volunteering experience and was lucky to have been involved with such a nice family and also to meet there great friends who I worked on a few small projects with. That's you Tom, Werner and Stephan

Reuben is a man to behold. A round 50 these days. A professional cook if ever there was one. He taught our son Nol as much as he could in his whirrlewind way. An explosive totally impressive Hakka now and then shook the mountain. A party was treated like a Hakka. Around him entertainment takes another shape. A creative talent and mind that sees no boundaries. That helped inspiration to the day of today in our kitchen. Greetings and all the best from Sunny Croatia.

I had a wonderful month at the project, spending time learning, gardening and relaxing in nature. The property is beautiful, the food is delicious, and having my own bus to sleep in was a treat after so much time on the road! I ended up being the only volunteer (unusual) so did sometimes miss interacting with people my own age, but it was also really nice spending more time with the family who are very welcoming and friendly 🙂. I really enjoyed working with Barbara, and her enthusiasm and positivity is a joy to see!

Dear Luca! I just discovered we did not write a review for you. A man of many talents for sure. With a sharp mind. Working on the land, making objects with 3D printing, designing a movie in three parts and writing the scrit for that. He was very structured and effectively goal oriented. A child of his time without a doubt. And very dedicated to learning things that create solutions small and big. His humor stretched my ancient mind. Well, ancient, we all have ancient minds. But he knew how to walk the boundary and stretch the mind of me a 64 year 'old' man. We had a lot of laughs and worked hard. A very recommenadable character who really means business. Sorry Luca, I think we missed somehow to give you feedback. We noticed that other feedbacks also didn't arrive somehow. Maybe that's due to my dinosaur mind. Auguri amico mio. Possa il 2024 essere generoso con te e i tuoi cari. Abbracci.
