I'm so grateful for my first Worldpackers experience at Bogota the project and recommend it to anyone seeking an adventure. Nestled in the green hills of Croatia this beautiful homestead and family welcomed me with open arms. The work was as agreed upon, tasks often blended into the lifestyle rather than feeling like chores. The rhythm of the days allowed plenty of time to rest and reflect. From shared (yummy) dinners to quiet moments with nature, everyday held something meaningful. Thank you, bogota the project family for showing me what intentional living looks like, I'll carry it with me wherever I go.

The time I spent at the project was the best of my life. The people, the work, the environment, everything is amazing. It was my first volunteering experience and I would without a doubt recommend it to everyone. Peter, Barbara, Fleur and Nol made me feel comfortable immediately, I was able to express myself and grow as a person. I also have to say, coming from a former picky eater, the food is definitely amazing, there wasn't a single meal I didn't absolutely love during my stay. Wouldn't change my time there for anything in the world. Highly recommend!

I had a great and enriching experience at the project! I learned a lot about permaculture, the rhythm of nature, and the value of building a meaningful project with people from different backgrounds. Unfortunately, the other expected volunteers canceled, and since the farm is quite remote (no bus to the town), I felt a bit alone and dependent on the family for transport and social life. Despite these two personal challenges, I truly enjoyed the hands-on learning in the garden and the care of animals. Barbara and Peter were kind and generous, and I'm very grateful for this experience.

I have absolutely LOVED my experience at the project and would recommend to anyone who wants to slow down and reconnect with nature. Barbara, Peter and the family were super welcoming and always made sure I had everything I needed. The working hours were as described and flexible depending on the weather and what times we decided worked best for our group. The work its self was not overly strenuous and varied from day to day. The facilities and accommodation were great. I learnt a lot about sustainability and permaculture. Super grateful for the experience !!!

I really enjoyed my (first) Worldpackers experience at the project! The environment is beautiful, amazingly green and peaceful. Barbara & Peter are very flexible and very happy to share all their knowledge. Also: it's a big plus that Nol is a chef-to-be, so they prepare dinner every evening! Especially for 'meat eaters' a real treat, but they took my vegetarianism in account as well! I'll definitely miss this place, and all the dogs and cats as well. Hopefully we'll meet again :)

I had a very interesting and rewarding 3-week stay at the lush forest compound of Bogota the project where I stayed in my own private camper. Baking sourdough bread, foraging wild strawberries for cheesecake and nettles for soup, picking a variety of herbs for salad in the garden, learning how to make Elderberry syrup, Kombucha and fermented cleaning product. These are all recipes and methods I will carry with me for life! On my free days I visited Karlovac, the big city nearby and hiked in the national park. Croatia has been an eye-opener. Such a rich, complex and beautiful country!!!

I went to the project as a cook, with the objective to show Nol, the cook of the family my perspective on food. We collaborated very efficiently, managed to see quite a few techniques and make delicious dishes for the family. This place is perfect for someone that wants something chill and laid back. I went before the season started, so for me that serenity was ideal , since I wanted to focus on my other job as well. I guess if you go during the summer it will be more suitable for someone who is searching for fun!! I was lucky enough to have my own room even. Thank you to all the family!!

What a great guy he is. we discussed some values in the beginning. What came out among other things is 'Integrity'. He definitely is a man of his word. He delivered a learning to cook program at a very high quality level. He used his education and six years as a porfessional cook experience to deliver far beyond what we could expect. We can recommend him as Lazaros, as a kitchen master and as a great guy to have yround. Thank you again dear Lazaros. Greetings and hugs from Bogata Suma family.

Meeting Barbara, Peter, Nol, Fleur, and all the wonderful cats, dogs, and chickens at the project was an enriching experience. I felt like I was a part of the family. The knowledge I received is something I will definitely be implementing in my own personal life. This was definitely my favorite volunteer experience, and I hope to return again one day.

DIdn't we already write a 'necessarily with Kiran' - beautiful - review? How is that possible? She is such a delight to have around. And I see she wishes to be back one day. Well Kiran is welcome back without any dounbt or hesitation. Recommendations for any wellthinking host therefore. The way she is one can learn so much about quality ways of thinking. And laughing about serious things in life. Making fun about all the heavy issues that are plaguing the planet, nature and humanity. Together we solved all problems sent letters far and wide. Joking of course, but it is so much fun to be able on the ons side to joke about things, and on the other to contemplate core issues. And having a great time together.

Peter, Barbara, Noel and Fleur, Thank you for opening your home and farm and forest for me to be experience. I really enjoyed trying to master the wood fired oven and cooking eating and having a few drinking together. A great collaborative experience with Noel who was open and engaged in learning and sharing new cooking experiences. This was my first volunteering experience and was lucky to have been involved with such a nice family and also to meet there great friends who I worked on a few small projects with. That's you Tom, Werner and Stephan

Reuben is a man to behold. A round 50 these days. A professional cook if ever there was one. He taught our son Nol as much as he could in his whirrlewind way. An explosive totally impressive Hakka now and then shook the mountain. A party was treated like a Hakka. Around him entertainment takes another shape. A creative talent and mind that sees no boundaries. That helped inspiration to the day of today in our kitchen. Greetings and all the best from Sunny Croatia.
