Good experience in the Hostel, I enjoyed that I had the chance to interact with other volunteers and travellers. Alex is very nice and if you have any question or something you don't agree feel free to talk to him, he will always try to make you feel comfortable during the program!

Thank you Alex and Nina for the opportunity ☺️. Nina is the person she has with the volunteers, attentive to the tasks being carried out correctly and being able to communicate. Although she only speaks Russian, she uses the translator to establish a dialogue and get to know you better. Every day I was able to get to know her a little more and for her to open up to dialogue with me. She is very grateful when you are honest and da good job. I consider this experience allowed us all to grow as people. The volunteers were exceptional and we were able to have a lot of fun!

I recommend this hostess , Alex is a very generous, kind person who likes to help. The Hostel has a perfect location which makes it easy to explore the city. The work is not heavy, just follow all the recommendations of Alex's mother, she who worked with me. She is a great person but the lack of English leads to communication gaps. If you are looking for a quiet place in the city of Sofia I recommend this hostel, it is a simple but very cozy environment.

This was my first experiences and it was fantastic Alex and Nina were an amazing host, Nina doesn't speak English but she wants to learn, please teacher her something new, she is an amazing Russian Mom, her food, the long walks around sofia, we had long conversations throw google translate, please have patience and speak with easy words without slams and when something is not clear ask again she will explain you in another way! I expended 2 months in the hostel and I had the opportunity to visit the "eye of God", "vitosha" and all Sofia. if you sell trips you will be able to go as well!!! πŸ’œπŸ’œ

Thank you Alex and Nina (his mother). The hostel is amazing! Nina will be a bit strict in the beginning, after that you will figure out she is very nice and kind( like a mother do.) Although, they said that they will only provide us the breakfast, we can still use the ingredients they provided during the day (Nina will also cook something when she is happy.) Overall, everything is very nice! it is a good chance for people to visit the city of Bulgaria and meet more people. Thank you.

Working at hostel n1 is definitely a learning experience. The work is very detailed, but becomes a little easier once you get familiar with it. Nina, the figure with whom you relate most, speaks through google translate and this generates quite a few communication difficulties. But in general Alex and Nina are very helpful if you need anything. With the volunteers, a great understanding and sense of teamwork was immediately created. The location of the hostel is great for visiting Sofia. And as soon as you can, join the daily tours outside the capital, it is really worth it!

It was the first place I had a language challenge.English is essential for dealing with guests, but it's not that common in the Balkans. The Hostel housekeeper embraces our mother tongue with a translator. It's a great opportunity to sympathise with another culture. The work is a little repetitive, but it's part of a good cleanness. Alex and Nina are always available to help us, as is the team of volunteers. I'd say if you're emotionally mature for this experience, you'll have a lot of fun, especially exploring the city center (which is so close and accessible) and also taking the Day Trip.

This was my first experience and I really enjoyed it! Alex and Nina are very respectful persons, if you need anything, just ask and they will listen :) if you come here, do visit Vitosha Mountain and Plovdiv! This hostel allowed me to meet some amazing people that for sure we'll meet again somewhere in this earth <3

The outdoor patio was such a vibe and the living room was a great gathering space where I got to know a lot of people staying in the hostel. The owner Alex is very kind but hardly around. His mother Nina is who trains and oversees the hostel. She could communicate her needs in a nicer way in my opinion. Everyone's first day training makes them want to leave, forewarning. She's overly particular, even if you do the job right she strives to find something wrong. I also constantly had to defend myself on other peoples mishaps the entire time I worked there and it was so frustrating.

Usually after a couple of days of training, volunteers understand how to do it, but not in your case. You did not follow the instructions and elementary rules for working with guests, cleaning and so on. For example, every time you could not clean up after your meal until you were reminded of this and YOU WERE RUDE at the same time. So we had to remind you of every outstanding task. We have an instruction that everyone must follow, step by step, there is nothing complicated. The other volunteers did an excellent job with all the tasks. I didn't mean to write you a bad review.
