Alex was very kind, understanding, and easy to communicate with. He was flexible and showed a great attitude, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend this hostel and would be happy to connect again in the future.

Although rating a place can be cold,I consider that honesty prevail to help further volunteers.Alex the owner never properly introduced himself in person and barely says hi when around, Nina is a lovely cheerful woman with whom it is nice to share complicity and laughter when not switching into a strict and bossy tone when stressed.I can't pretend that is has not affected my stay. The rules are not a problem(they work both ways tho).Trust issues are for sure. Contradicting you in front of guests to bargain good reviews is something I completely disagree with. As you feel stupid and disrespecte

Alex replied

You speak about honesty and trust, which we also value. That is why criticism should be based on clear facts. You say rules “work both ways”, yet mention trust issues without explaining what broke that trust. Nina is responsible not only for a friendly atmosphere, but also for order and task control, which sometimes requires firmer communication. A 2/5 rating is surprising, especially considering the flexibility you were given. Constructive feedback helps improve, subjective frustration does not

Hi, my name is Leo. It's my first time volunteering and I'm truly thankful for the experience. Nina “The Mom” and her daughter in law Dina treated me like family — always helpful, always making sure I had food, comfort, and everything I needed. Sofia surprised me with its amazing hikes, friendly people from all around the world, and a peaceful vibe. The job became easy once I mastered the routine. Grateful for everything. Recommended and I will come back later ✈️🫶🏼❤️

My experience at Hostel N1 was truly enjoyable and enriching. The atmosphere created by the guests was amazing, I had the chance to meet some truly wonderful people. The work at the hostel is very well organized and quite structured. High standards are expected in every aspect, from reception duties to cleaning. At first, it might feel a bit demanding, but after a few days, you get into the rhythm and understand how to carry out your tasks efficiently and confidently. The managers: Alex, Nina, and Dina are always available and supportive, ready to help whenever needed. Thanks for everything!!
