I understand volunteering as something light and pleasant, but the military way they like it to be done for me doesn't work, because I couldn't feel good about the threats I suffered to pay fines for doing my job, also due to the lack of training on new shifts when I was alone, I was constantly reprimanded because it seemed like I already had to know how to do the work. So as not to have more hassle deciding to leave early from volunteering for the first time. But, during the time I was there, I was able to make beautiful friends with wonderful people.

You're lying, we have no fines. It's true that we are very strict. We require that the volunteer not be lazy 5 hours a day, 5 days a week.

I had a good time at the hostel, meeting wonderful people and improving my English. the location of the hostel is perfect, close to tourist attractions etc.. the tasks are simple and the schedules are respected, I didn't stay in the hostel for long, but the time I stayed was good, thank you Alex

Foi uma experiência incrível! A Bulgária é um país lindo e Sofia, encantadora! O hostel fica num lugar perfeito, central e perto de tudo! Os primeiros dias foram mais difíceis, até me adaptar à rotina do hostel, mas depois desse período, foi tudo bem tranquilo! Agradeço ao Alex e à Nina pela oportunidade incrível! Já sinto saudades

The N1 hostel is a perfect place to stay if you want to explore Sofia and Bulgaria! It's located in the center and very close to main sightseeing of Sofia. The job is not hard, maybe the first two shifts, but when you learn what and how you need to do it's pretty easy. Nina is demanding but kind and trying to do best for guests and volunteers. I spent here one month and I love this place and experience. Nina and other volunteers become like a family to me. Thank you Nina and Alex for everything!

I deeply regret missing the deadline to write this review. Anastasia's time as a volunteer at our hostel was truly remarkable. She excelled in guest reception, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that left a lasting positive impression on our visitors. Her meticulous approach to cleanliness maintenance ensured a consistently comfortable and pleasant environment for our guests. Moreover, she excels in training new staff, making her contributions even more impactful. Anastasia has truly been one of our most outstanding volunteers, and we wholeheartedly appreciate her invaluable contributions to our hostel.

A experiência foi ótima,passei 3 meses lá. Nina e uma pessoa maravilhosa, mas gosta de tudo feito do jeito dela, então é só fazer o trabalho direito e tudo corre bem. Na primeira semana até e um pouco difícil pra entender ela,mas logo passa. O serviço não é difícil, mas precisa de um pouco de paciência na recepção. Os horários são respeitado e pode ser combinado com Alex qualquer alteração.

A Nina é uma pessoa incrível, muito divertida e sempre revisa as tarefas para ver se está tudo da forma como ela gosta. Vou sentir muita falta dela e também das amizades que fiz com os outros staffs. Em relação a vaga é tudo como descrito na plataforma e também há possibilidade de gorjetas caso você venda tours. As regras do hostel são tranquilas, mas é intensa a rotina, não é um voluntariado para férias e curtição.

Esse foi meu primeiro voluntáriado,e foi gratificante,sei que tenho um lar na Bulgária,a Nina ela é muito exigente sim,mas apenas no início e isso é algo que é necessário,pois tem muita gente que vai achando que é Colônia de férias,mas após poucos dias você percebe o amor de pessoa que ela é, uma mãezona,o Alex e muito gentil e educado,e os dois sempre relevaram meus erros e me fizeram aprender com cada um deles,a minha experiência não poderia ter sido melhor,eu recomendo muito mas para quem realmente tem comprimento e vontade de trabalhar e seguir regras,pois não é Colônia de férias!

It was a great experience. We are very fond of Nina who is the person who is always at the hostel. She took care of us and treated us like a mother. And Alex is also a great person and always helped us when we needed something. The work is good. We hope to come back sometime.
