We absolutely loved our time at ARA, it's such a special place! They are the nicest people and the work is so much fun to do! We fell in love with all the animals and made great friends. You will have lots of free time where you can go to Loulé, to the beach or make whole day trips. It's inspiring and impressive how much effort and love they put in their work. It was a wonderful experience. The people and staff you meet there are incredibly friendly and kind. The accommodation and the animals are not only beautiful but also very precious. I fell in love with the cats and will be adopting three – a lovely memory of Ara and a great opportunity to bring joy to the animals. When you go there, you will definitely fall in love with the place and the animals.

My experience at the shelter was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel like part of the family. Their dedication and passion for the animals are truly inspiring. Spending time with the dogs was incredibly rewarding and fun. I loved the freedom to choose how to spend my time with them and where to help out. I had an absolutely unforgettable time! Being able to help and look after the shelter cats and dogs is very rewarding and I met some lovely people along the way! I loved my stay at ARA. It was my second volunteer experience and it couldn't have been better. You feel very welcomed and if you need help you will always get it and also can use your freetime to socialise with the animals or take them to places or walked. Everyone is always happy and the animals are really lovable aswell as the humans. Definitely recommend:)
