Truly an incredible and life-changing experience. As soon as you step foot into ARA, you can already get a sense of dedication they have for the well-being of the dogs and the cats. The parks, the kennels and the catteries are very well maintained. It is so heartwarming to see how well they are taken care of. Taking care and bonding with the animals, meeting like-minded folks and making new friends has been such a joy. I hope to be back soon!

This was my second time volunteering at ARA, and again I absolutely loved it! The staff are amazing, so kind and helpful. All the volunteers are lovely, and it's nice to meet new people. The animals are amazing, and it's so great to be able to help them! ARA is a very special place and I will be returning again next year for a third time. I would 100% recommend it to anyone, it is a great experience to travel on your days off, spend time with animals and meet new people. It is the best place!

This experience was more than I could have ever imagined it to be as my first time using Worldpackers and being away from home. All the staff and volunteers couldn't have been friendlier and there is a real sense of community between everyone at the shelter. ARA is truly like no place I have ever visited before and I hope to come back as much as possible in the future. You can really tell that the animals here are happy and healthy thanks to the amazing work of the staff and the daily tasks are so rewarding when you see the animals happy in their kennels and in the catteries. My 2 weeks at ARA were lovely! I was feeling anxious about my stay at first, especially because this was my first time travelling alone, but I'm so glad I did & I couldn't recommend ARA more! I genuinely enjoyed the work but don't forget to stay hydrated & eat well because working in the sun can be tiring. You have lots of free time to either stay on site swimming/socialising or walk to the town centre/drive to the beach. With so much to do, you definitely won't get bored! Thank you so so much to everyone at ARA, the work you do is amazing & I wish you all the best :)

ARA was my first volunteering experience with Worldpackers and it couldn't have been better! the the shelter is great and the staff is super friendly. The accommodation options are good and there are supermarkets close to the shelter(30 Minutes walk). The working hours are adhered to and we had time between shifts to look at the surroundings, spend time with the animals or relax by the pool. The days off could be chosen freely after consultation with the other volunteers. We had a lot of fun working with the dogs and cats. I can recommend it to everyone, it was a wonderful experience!

ARA was one of the most unique experiences I've ever been a part of.The people are amazing, everyone trying everything within their ability to do what's best for the animals, putting them before themselves which i find very rare and generous. The staff are so well at organizing every single thing so that you always know what to do and how to help ! But the best part about this were the animals themselves.I feel like i fell in love with every single one of them.They get to live in the best conditions with their own spaces and others to play with!I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to help:)
