One of the best experiences of my life! A very welcoming team who cared about the well-being of the volunteers and our accommodation. The working hours are very well adapted to the heat (we work early mornings and evenings). You're immersed in a world of enthusiasts who love what they do and know how to pass on their respect and love for animals.

Ambre joined us as a volunteer for two weeks and quickly became a valued member of the volunteer team. She showed great kindness and dedication, always approaching her tasks with a positive and caring attitude. During her stay in the trailer, she took special care of Temu, our elderly blind cat, giving him not only the attention he needed but also a lot of affection and patience. Ambre’s gentle presence and reliability made a real difference for both the animals and the team.

We are so grateful to Senta, who came to volunteer at our shelter for the fifth time! Her kindness and patience truly shine through every visit. This time, she spent a lot of time with Monalisa, one of our shyest dogs, gently helping her build confidence. Senta even took Monalisa out for walks, giving her the chance to enjoy some fresh air and feel safe in new surroundings. I will always remember my time at ARA as one of the best experiences of my life. No words can describe how incredibly wonderful my time there was. Everything is full of love, the people are so friendly and funny and every single the shelter is so incredibly adorable and amazing. During her four weeks with us, she treated every dog and cat with the same care and respect as if they were her own. Hannah volunteered at our dogs and cats shelter for three weeks and proved to be a reliable and committed helper. She carried out all tasks efficiently, from cleaning and training to assisting with animal care and socialization. Her calm approach worked well with both the animals and the team, and she adapted quickly to our routines. We appreciated a lot her contribution and would be happy to work with her again in the future!

She approached every task—cleaning, training, and helping with animal care—with focus and consistency. Her ability to adapt to different situations and her friendly manner made her a good fit both with the animals and with other volunteers. This was my second time volunteering at ARA and I loved it, just like the first time. The staff is incredibly hardworking and seeing how much they care for all the animals is heartwarming.
