The experience
Maintain an inviting, healthy Communal kitchen. Prepare conscious vegan || vegetarian meals, manage foods || beverages from garden, preserve and ferment, and keep kitchen systems efficient and beautiful.
What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Housekeeping:
Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.
Kitchen Hand:
Help prepare, finish and serve meals.
Cooking:
Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Tent:
You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Free Events:

Activities & Shift
+ Plan and prepare daily nutritious vegan || vegetarian meals for Residents and Guests.
+ Use produce from Our organic gardens, greenhouses and orangery; manage harvests for the kitchen.
+ Prepare fermented foods and beverages (sauerkraut, kimchi, kefirs, tempeh, yoghurts, sauermilks, ..).
+ Produce daily wholesome glutenfree bakery items and nutritious low-refined-sugar sweets (including xylitol options), integrating garden produce, maintaining sourdough || fermentation schedules, and ensuring hygienic handling and clear allergen || glutenfree || xylitol (pet-safety) labeling.
+ Grocery coordination and occasional longer shopping trips for speciality items.
+ Deep cleaning, rotation of pantry, food storage, and maintaining hygiene standards.
+ Collaborate with the ‘Culture Cafe’ Team for occasional ‘Holistic Experiences’ and Menus..
Rules
+ Experience cooking plant-based and vegetarian foods for Groups preferable – āyurvedic, nutritional dietary, holistic preparations, health science approved, ..
+ Comfortable with fermentation and preserving or willing to learn independently..
+ Enthusiastic about developing practical baking skills (including sourdough, gluten-free and low-refined-sugar techniques), following and maintaining bakery || fermentation schedules, and assisting with daily bakery production when required..
+ Able to work safely with shared kitchen equipment and follow high hygiene rules..
+ Vegan or vegetarian Lifestyle. Non-smoker; abstain from alcohol and recreational drugs.
+ Minimum 1month (longer stays prioritised).
