The Experience
We are a friendly language center located in the small desert town of Smara. Our mission is to help children, young people, and adults improve their language skills (mainly English and French) while creating a space of cultural exchange and learning. As a volunteer, you will: ✨ Share your knowledge of languages with our students. ✨ Practice conversations, games, and creative activities. ✨ Contribute with your ideas to make learning fun.

- Intermediate English or Fluent French
- Between 18 and 70 years old
- Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

It was a very lovely stay with the school, his family & friends in Smara! I've worked approx 15h a week (evenings), which was totally managable. I had enough time to work on my projects during the day. The food I've got served was delicious! I got taken care of & my needs were always considered:) The work itself was a bit overwhelming at the beginning because you'll teach a class all by yourself, but after some classes you'll approve and get to know the kids better which makes it so fun! The kids are lovely, kind, sometimes loud but fully grateful and eager to learn new things! See you very soon!
