The Experience

Why not join us picking olives at Casale Zeno. A refurbished Podere with four Airbnb apartments. Situated in 8 hectares of Olive groves. Some 1200 Young olive trees await your helping hands in October. Join us for the whole experience from daily harvesting to sitting around in the Frantoi while the oil trickles out of the process into our 50 ltr drums. There are other jobs to do around the place but overall it will be the Olive harvest.

I had an incredible time with the family, I learned a lot about construction techniques, assembled furniture and of course some cooking recipes. Food was amazing, the house is a dream place and big boy Jack who's joining me on almost every walk around haha. Thanks so much to the whole family for everything <3

Living with Tony, Jo, Jack and Nic was absolutely amazing! I felt super welcome and involved from day one. My opinion was always taken into account and I was asked to contribute with some ideas too. There is an entire apartment dedicated to volunteers, and it has everything you might need Working hours and days were always as agreed. The tasks are quite varied since there are a lot of things to do and to contribute with The food Tony cooks is beyond amazing and was always on time. And on top of all of that, he always made sure I learned new skills that I could apply on any other situation

I really enjoyed the experience; you get to connect a lot with nature thanks to the surrounding landscape. Tony and Jo are the kindest and most pleasant people I've met while being away from home, and Nic is super sweet and friendly. Jack is the most adorable and gentle dog. I loved sharing this experience with them. The working hours aren't long, and they truly respect your opinions. They are incredible hosts— recommend them 100%. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!

We both had a really enjoyable time with Tony, Jo & Nic. We learned a variety of skills & gained knowledge around agro tourism. The location is beautiful however it is isolated without transport, there is one bus to Orvieto on a Saturday morning. The apartment we lived in was spacious and included everything we needed. It was great having a kitchen , bathroom and bedroom all to ourselves as well as a balcony with incredible views. Daily tasks are simple but can be hard work in the heat. Jack, the family dog is also extremely cute and good natured. We would definitely recommend this experience!

The volunteering experience was wonderful with Jo, Nik, and Tony, who were always very kind and attentive to our needs. There was also Jack, a beautiful Labrador we had to take care of, he was very well-behaved and energetic, haha. The food Tony prepared was delicious, and they always made us feel like part of the family. The tasks were not difficult, and the agreed hours were respected. One of the best things was having your own space, which added a lot to the stay. The surrounding area was beautiful, with cities and towns nearby to visit. I would recommend this place to anyone.
