The Experience

Would you like to be part of a small and welcoming hostel surrounded by nature? We are currently looking for volunteers to help out with a variety of practical tasks. The hostel is located in beautiful, peaceful surroundings just outside Agger – a small, charming village by the North Sea, nestled between sand dunes, the ocean, and Thy National Park. I had an unforgettable experience here. The host family are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. They treat everyone like family and I felt so welcomed there. The work was easy and you will have lots of time to explore the beautiful coast of Denmark. I learned so much about Danish culture and the host cooked the most delicious Danish food. The hostel is right next to a breathtaking national park and there are bikes and paddle boards you can borrow. I meet so many fun volunteers who made the experience even more memorable. 10/10 this experience was amazing!

Great experience! Gitte and her family are very welcoming and kind. They treat you like family. I highly recommend staying here! It is a close bike ride to a cute town and by Thy National Park ,which is beautiful. They take you to lots of local events where you can meet some cool people & have fun experiences . The hosts accommodate to you and your interests. If I could stay here longer I would :)

Being at the hostel is more like joining into a new family. You will get to know more about the Danish culture and environment. You get in contact with local people as well as more international, depending on when you go there. You also get to explore around if you like. It is really close to nature. Working there was really a pleasure, helping out where it was needed. The host also pays attention on what you like to do and your interests. There are kind and loving people and I would really recommend it to all the people who wants to find peace and hygge.

It has been amazing! as a volunteer I coudn't ask better. It hasn't seemed a volunteering, more like visiting a friend or a distant relative and help him with a move. The terms of the agreements were respect and even more. The tasks were light and easy. Gitte and her family are careful about your needs and they care about your stay is confortable and not boring. They suggest you activity and place to visit. You can borrow bikes, cars and paddle boards. The hostel is in the middle of a national park and with a beautiful view of the fjord. I HIGHLY RECCOMENDED YOU! If I could give 6 stars, I would!
