What you offer

20h

Hours per week: Help out and collaborate with your host only a few hours per week.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Days off per week: Have some time off for yourself, go explore the city or rest for a while.

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

The Experience

Out here, there’s space to breathe – and time to slow down. You can surf, swim, sail, hike, or simply enjoy the peace of National Park Thy. No matter the season, the nature around us is truly special – from crashing waves to quiet dunes. Summer is our busiest time, but we also welcome volunteers during the quieter months. If you’d like to experience a unique corner of Thy – and be part of our small hostel community – we’d love to hear from you!

That's the best place to be if you want to know Denmark culture. Gitte toke me join local community Apple cider festival, show me around the hostel and Thister. I have change to try different kind of Dennish cuisine by Karl and Gitte maker and that was super delicious. I have met all the family members and felt like I am a family member too. Gitter teach me how to knitting 🧶 and gave me wool for presents when I leave. Kristina show me how pottery make and gave me a gift too. The work there is not much and easy to finish. I biked with electric bike to explore every sunny day. Thanks for everything

The perfect experience for who want to take a break from big cities and immerse themselves in nature. The hostel is small but there are always activities to do such as painting, gardening or working with ceramics. In your free time you can use the car or bike to visit nearby villages or take a trip to the national park. Tasks are usually in the morning and are very light. The whole Gitte's family is very helpful with any request and open to share danish culture with you. This was my first experience with Worldpackers and I couldn't be happier.

I stayed at the hostel for 2 weeks as a volunteer, and it was an amazing experience! I truly enjoyed my time there. Gitte and Kristina are wonderful people, and everyone was incredibly helpful and kind to me. The atmosphere is welcoming, and I felt at home from the very first day. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great volunteering experience!

I really enjoyed the stay at the hostel. The entire family was very welcoming and there is also other volunteers you can do activities with. It takes only 10 minutes to go to the beach by bike and you can go swimming, rent a surfboard or watch the sunset. I stayed for 2 weeks and for me it was the perfect amount of time:)
