The Experience
As we are just starting up this project again since it was running for a bit a few years ago, we need to just clean up and prepare the place for more activity. Things need sorting and needs to be sold in a simple yard/garage type of sale. There are also other tasks that needs done, like painting the walls, planting different plants for the seasons, some inside and some outside, and we also need to sell the things by the road.

I've had an amazing time in Mysen. Helene is a nice person with an open ear for any problems and the other volunteers made the time truly magical. The work was easy and consisted mostly of painting doors, windows or walls. Food is provided but depending on how many volunteers there are it can run thin, so you have to get creative or buy your own stuff. The town is very small so there are not much things to do but with the other volunteers around you never get bored. You can get to Oslo by train in around an hour, which makes it easy to explore on days off.

I had a great time in Mysen. Work was light and flexible. The place is huge, a little chaotic but also lively. Helene was communicative, kind and so were others. Thank you for this opportunity.

The volunteering experience in mysen had everything I wanted and more.the town is beautiful,and the house looks like something out of a movie,truly stunning.the activities were super fun ,and the Helene ,the host,is amazing-friendly,cool,and very committed to her role.we made a great team,and she gave me the space to give my best,which allowed us to achieve many things together.the food was always fantastic,very diverse and plentiful;if something was missing,all you had to do was ask and Helene would provide it.for me , in was a complete experience,and i enjoyed every single day so much.

Helene is a spectacular woman, very kind and respectful, communicative and very funny, she is sensitive, always trying to make sure that we are all very well, very good at teaching what we do not know, and she has patience Golden, sharing this time with her was wonderful, as was the case with each of the fellow volunteers. God willing, I can return. I learned a lot, met a lot, and had a blast.

This opportunity left a wonderful impact on my life, as I was surrounded by the kindness of Helene and her parents. I truly enjoyed my time here, especially painting the walls and the fence. The experience was both meaningful and joyful. The host paid close attention to cleanliness and even provided gloves for working, which made everything safe and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to volunteer in Norway and immerse themselves in genuine kindness and happiness while being overseas.
