The Experience
As we are just starting up this project again since it was running for a bit a few years ago, we need to just clean up and prepare the place for more activity. Things need sorting and needs to be sold in a simple yard/garage type of sale. There are also other tasks that needs done, like painting the walls, planting different plants for the seasons, some inside and some outside, and we also need to sell the things by the road.

This was my first volunteering experience and I had a wonderful time! Helene was so accommodating and welcoming, and I felt completely at home at Mysen. The working hours and tasks were very flexible, and it was lovely working with all the other volunteers! I loved meeting people from different countries and it was a truly enriching experience. Helene was the best host I had, she was very accommodating regarding work hours and very flexible, and the tasks were not too hard. We could choose our hours and which days to work. The house is cozy and has everything you need. The home theatre is amazing to watch movies in. Thank you for hosting us Helene!

I had a great time in Mysen with Helene! The hours were flexible, Helene was very accommodating, and the town was beautiful. I was lucky enough to get a few inches of snow! Comfy bed, there was some food available, but I ended up buying some of my own to cook. Flexible hours, and she even let some of us stay in her Oslo apartment for New Years Eve! A great experience for my first Worldpackers!

My volunteering experience in Mysen, Norway, was simply wonderful. From the beginning I felt welcomed, especially thanks to Helene, who is an amazing person and a real pleasure to talk to and work with. The work was very interesting and, most importantly, extremely flexible, which allowed me to manage my time easily and fully enjoy the experience. Mysen is a very lovely town, quiet and surrounded by nature and Oslo is easily reachable by train, making it possible to explore the capital as well. I would highly recommend this experience.
