Great first worldpacker experience! Work really depends on the season, I joined in October (off season) and mainly deep cleaned or helped in the kitchen when the restaurant was open. The work can be tough but fair. You have your own volunteer house with your own room, depending on the day you can also cook there. On free days you can use the car to explore the areas around. Know that everything is around an hour driving (store is 20 min by car). Best wishes to the soon family of 6! :)

I felt very comfortable right from the start; the family welcomes you warmly. The volunteers have their own house with a kitchen that they can use, as well as a car that they can use for trips or to get snacks. The work is very varied in the off-season and takes place both outdoors and indoors. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me :)

I had a great experience. Sabrina and Jonas were very welcoming and always checked in to see how we were doing, making sure everyone got along well. One of the highlights was that the volunteers had their own house, and there was a car available for us to use. All in all, I had a really good and relaxed time there and enjoyed being surrounded by nature.

I felt really comfortable and welcomed in Skålsjögården! Sabrina and Jonas are really friendly and the work hours were always rescpected. The tasks always varied and sometimes even included things like tracking the hikes in the area which was really fun! The volunteers can sometimes use the car which is really helpful if you want to get around and see a bit more of Sweden. Overall I can really recommend this experience.

Our time at Skålsjögården was great! The nature is so beautiful and we had a lot of fun with the other volunteers. We were also able to explore the region and some cities with the car for the volunteers. The work tasks were very diverse, so it never really got boring. We got a good insight into how a restaurant kitchen works, wich was really interesting. We would really recommend this experience if you like to meet other volunteers and spend time in nature.
