I had the best time staying with Katja and her family. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and kind, making you feel like you are part of the family. From home cooked dinners in front of the TV, game nights, trips to the beach or pubs to hacking with the incredible horses, they make sure you have the best time. On the weekends you have time to visit other places and they help you with planning. The work is clearly structured and fun, feeding the animals and mucking out. All of the animals are super cute and cuddly. If you love animals and want to experience Ireland this is the place for you!

If you're searching for a family away from home in Ireland, this is the perfect place for you. Katja and the rest of the family are amazing peopleβ€”always welcoming, helpful, and willing to do anything to make you feel at home. The work is easy and fun: feeding the animals and cleaning the farm. You'll be taking care of goats, pigs, and horsesβ€”all incredibly sweet! On your days off and during your free time, they'll help you find wonderful places to visit. There's never a dull moment in the houseβ€”between dinners watching TV together and evenings spent playing games, you won't get bored.

I can absolutely recommend to stay with this host if you love animals and working outdoors! The tasks around the animals are well-structured and not too difficult. So there is enough time to explore the beautiful Ireland. The daughter Nuli is the best tour guide to show you the most beautiful beaches. Moreover she took me and the other volunteers on regular hacks with their well-trained Icelandic horses and this was just fun! The family is so kind and warm-hearted and always ready to help! Since I can't write a longer review, feel free to contact me to hear more about my amazing experience :)

I had an unforgettable time at the farm! Katja and her family are wonderful people who made me feel at home from the beginning. The accommodation is comfortable and has everything you need. The work is for you if you don't mind a bit of dirt and enjoy being outdoors and surrounded by animals at all times. Other than work they took the time to bring us to a lot of different places. I got to see so many beautiful beaches, sights, a Gaelic football game and I was given the opportunity to ride. I am super grateful for this experience and wholeheartedly recommend this to everyone!

Katja and her family were so welcoming and fun to stay with. It got to the point where I wished I could quit my remote job to spend more time with them. Besides the farm work we were taken to the beach and on adventures all the time! It was a great way to experience not only county Mayo but Ireland in general. I cannot recommend this enough!! Would love to return in the future and get to see the new foal again (that waited to be born until my very last day!) and the new baby goats!
