My second stay with katja and her family was just as amazing as my first one. I was welcomed back with open arms and i had the best time. The work was a bit different than during the summer, we had to feed the horses and muck out their the farm. It's a bit tiring at first but once you get used to it it's super easy. The whole family makes such an effort to make your stay as fun as possible. I saw beautiful new places, went on many breathtaking hacks, and loved the family game nights. i truly found a second home here, and i couldn't be more happy about it. i definitely will be back!!

My time at the farm was so much fun. I got to spend time with the kindest and most beautiful animals in breathtaking nature. The family taught me a lot about animals and of course about the irish culture. I was warmly welcomed into the family and they made sure that my stay here would be as pleasant as it could. They took me in many trips around Ireland and i got to see so many beautiful places that I could only dream of before. After a month of staying here I could say I have found my second home and will most certainly come back again.

I had the best time staying with Katja and her family. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and kind, making you feel like you are part of the family. From home cooked dinners in front of the TV, game nights, trips to the beach or pubs to hacking with the incredible horses, they make sure you have the best time. On the weekends you have time to visit other places and they help you with planning. The work is clearly structured and fun, feeding the animals and mucking out. All of the animals are super cute and cuddly. If you love animals and want to experience Ireland this is the place for you!

If you're searching for a family away from home in Ireland, this is the perfect place for you. Katja and the rest of the family are amazing people—always welcoming, helpful, and willing to do anything to make you feel at home. The work is easy and fun: feeding the animals and cleaning the farm. You'll be taking care of goats, pigs, and horses—all incredibly sweet! On your days off and during your free time, they'll help you find wonderful places to visit. There's never a dull moment in the house—between dinners watching TV together and evenings spent playing games, you won't get bored.

I can absolutely recommend to stay with this host if you love animals and working outdoors! The tasks around the animals are well-structured and not too difficult. So there is enough time to explore the beautiful Ireland. The daughter Nuli is the best tour guide to show you the most beautiful beaches. Moreover she took me and the other volunteers on regular hacks with their well-trained Icelandic horses and this was just fun! The family is so kind and warm-hearted and always ready to help! Since I can't write a longer review, feel free to contact me to hear more about my amazing experience :)

I had an unforgettable time at the farm! Katja and her family are wonderful people who made me feel at home from the beginning. The accommodation is comfortable and has everything you need. The work is for you if you don't mind a bit of dirt and enjoy being outdoors and surrounded by animals at all times. Other than work they took the time to bring us to a lot of different places. I got to see so many beautiful beaches, sights, a Gaelic football game and I was given the opportunity to ride. I am super grateful for this experience and wholeheartedly recommend this to everyone!

Katja and her family were so welcoming and fun to stay with. It got to the point where I wished I could quit my remote job to spend more time with them. Besides the farm work we were taken to the beach and on adventures all the time! It was a great way to experience not only county Mayo but Ireland in general. I cannot recommend this enough!! Would love to return in the future and get to see the new foal again (that waited to be born until my very last day!) and the new baby goats!

I had a wonderful stay at the farm! I was immediately welcomed into the family and I look forward to visiting again! The work includes feeding and mucking out the horses, goats, and pigs. They're happy to answer any questions and give you advice! Noel also taught me how to use the tractor. Katja cooked delicious meals every night and we would all watch TV together in the evenings. They took us to see many beautiful places - and a Gaelic Football game! - and helped us plan our own trips. I recommend to anyone who likes yard work and experiencing local life with a great family!
