I spent 3 weeks with the project and had an amazing experience. From day one, the team made me feel like family, and I formed lasting friendships. Although I came as an English teacher, I got involved in various programs like agriculture, education, business development and human rights. the project is a reference point for the camp and offers constant support to the comunity. Thanks to them, I had the chance to explore the camp and connect with many people there, who taught me a lot. I'm grateful for this experience and look forward to returning soon. Asante sana, Luca

My time in Kakuma was unforgettable. It was a dream of mine to get to know a Refugee Camp and it couldn't be a better experience. I was able to interact a lot with the local the project, get to know and understand how the camp and its facilities work, engage a lot with the refugees, both young people as children! I was so happy to see the work that's its been done by the project and I would love to be back to Kakuma!

Aisha is an exceptional team member who brings dedication, kindness, and professionalism to everything she does. As a teacher at Tahirih Preschool, she creates a warm, engaging environment for young learners. Beyond the classroom, Aisha actively supports multiple community programs with heart and reliability. Her strong work ethic and positive spirit make her an invaluable part of our team. We highly recommend her to any host or organization seeking a committed and impactful volunteer.

This worldpackers post is highly misleading. No meals or accommodation were provided as promised; only lunch was covered when I worked. They initially told me that accommodation would be $7 per day, and I stayed 30 days at their recommended guesthouse. On the last day, I was charged 9000 KSH ($700). After I complained, they gave me 15000 KSH. I never taught English to kindergarten students because the kindergarten was closed. Instead, I did random tasks each day, was often left alone in the office for hours with nothing to do. But I had an amazing experience with the refugees and locals.

Thank you for your review. The volunteer came in November at the end when some programs of the organisation were closed due to time and budget running out and one to two programs were still running. The issue of accommodation was a little lack of understanding between the organisation and the volunteer; we showed him different accommodations that were cheaper, but the volunteer did not like them. We have been doing the renovation of the volunteers' house since early October.

Gris, a dedicated volunteer from Spain, made a remarkable impact at Faulu Productions by teaching Spanish to refugees. Her passion, patience, and creativity helped students learn effectively, making lessons engaging through music, games, and storytelling.

Beyond teaching, Gris built strong connections with students, boosting their confidence and communication skills. Her kindness and dedication created a positive learning environment, and her efforts will have a lasting impact on the community.
