Felt like a holiday with overseas relatives! Phoebe & Jeremy were such kind hosts ☺️🥺 I planned 10 days in the hostel, 2 in Taipei, but spent the 2 days at the hostel instead coz I didn't wanna leave. Housekeeping was light (11–1), tasks were clear. Bikes provided – great for exploring before and after shift. Hualien is a quiet countryside city surrounded by nature, with lots of summer activities. I had the nicest time with my co-volunteers, too. The place gave me a real sense of belonging. While P&J were away, Artrick & Anku toured me and introduced me to their friends. Wish I had more time! 💛

Phoebe and Jeremy are incredible hosts! They're very welcoming, generous, and kind. I stayed for 18 days and wish I could've stayed longer. The hostel is comfortable and the work is easy. There are lots of tours you can do on days off, or just explore on your own. Hualien is a good balance of city and countryside, with restaurants and live music at the night market on the one hand, and easy access to quiet nature on the other. Taroko national park is beautiful to scooter through, even after the earthquake. It's definitely worth it to come here!

I had such a great experience at the hostel! The work was very light and fair — just 2 hours a day, mostly cleaning, and the hostel was always super clean and organized. But what really made the experience special were Jeremy and Phoebe. They're not only siblings but also incredibly warm, kind, and always smiling. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and supported. They were helpful with everything and made me feel like a part of the family. The hostel itself cozy, peaceful, and located beautifully in Hualien. I would definitely come back one day, thank you again💚

With the warm hearts and sincere care of Jeremy and Phoebe, I had such a happy and fulfilling time. We first met as host and volunteer, but they have become dear friends to me. Anyone who has the chance to volunteer here will experience great fortune and create precious memories to cherish for a long time. Jeremy and Phoebe, I don't want to say good-bye, but a See You Two Again sometime very soon^_^

I applied very spontaneously, but luckily was able to come . Phoebe n Jeremy were rlly nice hosts, I worked at the reception and enjoyed it & met loads of different people. so nice to just hop on the bike to the river or go see taroko etc , and get away from the city for a bit and live near the mountains !
