The Experience
We need an outgoing, fun and friendly person to assist us at our hostel bar. Volunteer will mostly be a set of helping hands since we have employed full time bar staff. Volunteer will mostly assist with our events (providing support not hosting) such as beer pong, trivia night, ladies night etc. You will also be need to collect dishes and glasses. On some nights you may also be asked to hand out free drinks/ shots.

- Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)
- Be from outside South Africa

Volunteering at the hostel was an awesome experience! I helped out with tours and spent lots of time with guests and the other volunteers, it felt like we were a little family. The staff was also super welcoming from day one. There was a great balance between helping out and having free time to explore Cape Town. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun, social place to volunteer!

I had an amazing experience volunteering at the hostel! Everything was perfect – the team was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Starting with the application process until the very end of my stay, everything was well organized. I truly enjoyed every moment and would 100% recommend it to anyone. This was my first experience with worldpackers, and before I went I was very scared that I wouldn't find any friends or enjoy the work. Now, leaving Capetown in tears, I can look back on my 2 months here with so much joy and a lifetime worth of good memories. The people here, from the other volonteers to the staff, are all so welcoming that i felt at home from the first day. My manager was always flexible with my hours of work so that I never missed out on activities with friends, and I could really make the most out of my time here. I'd recommend this place to anyone in a heartbeat.

If anyone is solo ,hesitant , scared to take a risk to come away to the beautiful Cape Town , the hostel (despite the name ) will offer you the most homely experience you could get ! . After my 2 months here I've never once felt lonely and felt so supported by the amazing team :) it has been the experience of a lifetime and I will never forget the people , memories and fun I've had here.

My first time at a hostel and my first volunteering experience completely revolutionized the way I travel, and for that, I owe a special thank you to the hostel. My volunteer experience was incredibly smooth—not a single day felt like work. What made my stay truly unforgettable were the people. Phil, Shaun, and literally every single crew member are the most welcoming and supportive individuals you could ever hope to meet. I shared so many laughs with them.
