This was my first volunteering experience and I absolutely enjoyed it!! The workshifts were fun, I met so many new people and simply had a very good time. I would really recommend staying here as a volunteer. The location of the hostel in Greenpoint is close to the promenade and the Waterfront, which was perfect for me. There are also many restaurants and supermarkets in the street, so you have everything you need near by :)

I honestly don't know how to put my experience here into only 600 characters. It's funny because I've never felt so "at home" like I did at N@H. The staff is incredible and welcoming, they always made sure we were fine and enjoying the city, including me in tours and activities so I could experience more of CPT. Working at the bar was easygoing, I really liked the staff there and it was also a great chance to improve my English and meet amazing, funny, diverse people from around the world. I've learned a lot and grown personally. I'll always carry this place in my heart ❤️ Thank you all!

I'll would totally recommend this volunteer for everybody! My 2 months on Never at Home was incredible. Working on the bar (Randy warthog) made me improve my English and I was able to meet a lot of nice people, including locals! The work was very easy, just take pictures and videos and help with the events (beer pong and trivia night). But, for 2 whole months it gets a little bit repetitive. I think the volunteer of the bar could maybe help with other activities also sometimes. The hostel is very well localized, with grocery store, restaurants and pharmacy nearby! I'll miss this place a lot 🩷

My experience of never @ home was awesome. Working from the hiking/ tour side was super fun. My favorite thing was taking our guests on hikes, as you get to explore the beautiful nature of Capetown, and make connections with the guests. We always joked- Saying that Never @ Home should be called “Never Alone” because there is always somewhere there to go to the beach with, relax by the pool or just enjoy the city of Capetown. A social, lively hostel!!

My experience as a Volunteer in the Never at Home hostel it's been great. The hostel has a very nice atmosphere where you can meet other travelers, digital nomads, and even locals and south africans from other parts of the country. The location is great, between the beaches and the city. And the volunteering itself it's dynamic. I like to do hikes and other activities that involves me with the city, then was great to have the chance to work into it. I really recommend this place either to stay or volunteer.
