Being part of this project was a life change experience to me. It was incredible! Marko helped me even months before I went to Arusha and still helped a lot there, including when we were looking for safaris, etc. he became a friend - Rafiki as they say :) My host family was great, don't have anything to complain about. I miss everyone already! The other volunteers made the experience even better. And I don't have words to describe how much I loved the kids. They really need our support! I recommend for whoever is interested to do that. Asante Sana!

It was an amazing and incredible time I spent in this project. I couldn't imagine how deep this would be. First I went to help children in the library, teaching Math and English, but was me which learned a lot with them. The children are lovely, smart and happy all the time. Marko is a great guy that afford the project with Sam, they have all my respect and admiration, cause they're trying to do those place a better world for the kids. I had a wonderful host family, Conjepta and her children took care of me with love. For sure it was the best experience of my life. Asante Sana, Tanzania!

I spent 4 weeks in Arusha working as a volunteer and its was an amazing experience. The work with the kids is something that I will never forget, I miss them so much. The NGO team was also amazing, specially the girls in the library, they help you out to get used to teach and deal with the kids. A part from that, I could experience a real tanzanian life, living in a host family with great people and also all the fun you can have during the weekends like safari and other tours. Anyway it was an unforgetable exeperience and I would 100% recomend.

Undoubtedly, an amazing experience that completely changed my life. The work that Marko is doing with the library is so beautiful and the participation in the schools was also absolutely amazing. Children are extremely affectionate and kind. In addition to all this the country still has its wonders. Highly recommend the experience !!!!

One of the best decisions I've made it in my life! Going to Arusha was an awesome experience! Tanzanians are extremely friendly! But I must say that this is not the organization... this NGO is called Beyond the Child Smile :) And it's great to see what Sam and the NGO team have built in the recent years! They built a community library, and with the help of the other volunteers they help children and adults with education. I also loved my host family, Lolita was the sweetest! And the food was delicious too! I'm vegan and it was easy for me! If you need anything don't hesitate to ask! XOXO

I would definitely recommend anyone to volunteering in this project. Beyond Chile smile is an amazing the organization, and the project is completely important. In the morning we taught in a private school and in the afternoons in the community library we helped children and adults to learn English. My host family was so nice to me and made me feel like local. I learned a lot of things for my personal life about the African culture and experience every day the reality of the place. I recommend this opportunity and please feel free to contact me for more details. Asante sana my Tanzanian Family!

If you can't decide if to go for this volunteering program or not, GO. During the 5 weeks I spent in Ilboru I met countless of loving people (the hosts, the locals, the children and the volunteers). Marko and Sam (the heads of the program) are always willing to help and explain about anything one asks. The job is mainly teaching children maths and other subjects in English. It's challenging and rewarding. So if you are searching for a meaningful experience, this is your chance. For ANY question, message me :)💛
