Marko is a really nice guy. He helped me knowing the place around, doubts and things to do. He has all the project well organised and a diversity of works that really help us to no be bored. The kids are amazing and I also became friend of two local guys. In the overall I really loved to be there and was a pleasure that I would definitely repeat.

Habari!! My experience in Tanzania was absolutely amazing and really worth it. I always felt very safe, comfortable and welcomed during my stay in Arusha. The project is completely relevant and important to the community and Marko and Sam were always ready to help me. Besides, my host family was very nice and kind and the others volunteers was great as well. If you are looking for a serious project with a life changing experience you should definately go! Please feel free to ask me if you have any questions or doubts :)

Being in Arusha and working with the kids was one of the best experiences of my life. The project is ran by Sam and Marko who were always very helpful. My host family really made it feel like home. During my time there I taught in a school and in a library for both kids and adults, but I'm sure the one that learned the most was myself. I had the chance to meet some incredible people and spend an amazing time with the other volunteers and the locals. I'm very grateful for the experience that I had, for the people that I met and I'll defenitely take this very kindly for the rest of my life.

My 1 month experience in Sanawari/Ilboru was exactly what I was looking for. the the organization is managed by Marko and Sam. After meeting them better I can say without a doubt that it is in very good hands. Their purpose aims the good of the children and it is very easy to realize how grateful the village is to them and to the volunteers. You can read the full review of my experience on the following link: http://tinyurl.com/y3wq3lcx I highly recommend the experience if you are willing to dispose your energy with the kids. If you have any doubts, feel free to contact me at any time.

It was a wonderful learning! Living with a host family for 1 month was very good to be able to actually live the reality of the place, besides being very welcoming people. In the morning we taught in a private school in the area, and in the afternoon in the library for children who were studying in public schools. Often the night we also had the opportunity to teach English to the adults of the region, because the official language of the country is Swahili. Marko and Sam are also amazing people who have helped me a lot throughout my stay there. Wonderful experience! Hakuna Matata

Jambo ! Volunteering for Beyond Child Smile has been an amazing experience for me. If you decide to do so too, you'll get the chance to give lessons to students from private schools in the morning, from private and government schools in the afternoon, and even to adults coming from the village. You'll also live with a host family, so you'll learn all about swahili's culture. on the top of that, Marko will organise activities for you in the weekends so that you can discover the region of Arusha. So, if you're looking for a amazing volunteering experience, you just found it Rafiki.

It was truly a great experience in Arusha. Living with a host family made it possible for me to learn more about the Tanzanian culture. I also spent a lot of time with the other volunteers, e.g. when going on trips or hanging out after school. Working with the children is just amazing and gives you back a lot. I can definitely recommend this project to anyone who wants to have a true social impact. All the best to Sam and Marko! Thank you for having me :)

Arusha is amazing. At school, the staff appreciates every effort you make. The children are lovely. If you're thinking about volunteering, you definitely should. Marko and Sam helped us a lot. We are very thankful. However, we found out that we were not working for "the organization", to which we had fundraised, but for "Beyond Child Smile". We also weren't given a certificate and were told on our last day that it was only for people who stayed a month. Marko was able to make us a recommendation letter (which, unfortunately, is not enough for uni credits). Overall, it was an incredible opportunity!

I had stayed two weeks hosted by (Beyond child smile), they have very good potential in helping their country and giving back to the community. You will learn a lot by teaching students and living in Sanawari village, which is very peacefull place and has amazing people whom will welcome you every time with a smile. The host is honest, caring and good people in general, the room you will be staying varies from house to house. Their food is good and mostly vegetables and fruits (Too much carbs). You will miss chicken and beef for sure. Overall, it is an experience you will not regret!.
