This experience has been wonderful. The reality in Tanzania is very different from the European, but I never felt alone. Marko has been very kind and helpful since the beginning. He always takes care of the volunteers. I felt more than welcome. The host family has been my family for all 3weeks. Lolita, her mum and her daughter are simply lovely. Different and delicious food every day, the room with shower and toilette is clean and comfortable. Asante Sana!!!

Disfruté desde el primer día que llegué a Arusha. Es una experiencia inolvidable. El anfitrión y la gente que me hospedó siempre pendientes del bienestar de uno, muchos lugares por conocer y disfrutar en los fines de semana, y los chicos tanto del colegio como de la biblioteca son excepcionales. Personalmente me tocó un colegio que se llama Sammena, que si bien era un poco sacrificado el día a día porque estaba lejos y se debía viajar mucho, lo recomiendo totalmente, los profesores son gente magnífica y se crea un vínculo muy estrecho con ellos y los niños. For me, the experience of working with the kids from Arusha that came at the library was not an easy one, bc they came so many most of the days and there were only two of us to try to respond their needs, whoch were different at every kid, because they were different ages and some maybe wanted to learn some math, other English and i could only work well with only one at a time. So it could get quite exhausting. But still, it was so fulfilling when after explaining a thing 10 times they finally got it or when they were jumping with joy when i was marking all their answers as correct they were b

Lo mejor fueron los niños. El poder conectar y estar en compañía de ellos es lo más gratificante de la experiencia. Las tareas como voluntaria no son muy claras, ya que te desempeñas más como una asistente que como una maestra. Sin embargo, el solo hecho de ayudar a estos niños, aunque sea corrigiendo sus tareas, es más que satisfactorio.

Mi paso por Sanawari fue una muy linda experencia. Lo disfruté mucho! El lugar es muy lindo, rodeado de ríos y verde. La gente del lugar es muy amable, cada vez que caminas sus calles se te acercan para saludarte y saber de vos. Me recibió una familia increíble, desde el primer día me sentí como en mi propia casa. La experencia en la escuela fue muy buena, los chicos disfrutan al recibirnos y aprender con nosotros. La biblioteca recibe muchos chicos del lugar y es muy lindo verlos llegar con ganas practicar lo que aprenden en sus escuelas. Recomiendo mucho esta experiencia!

Increíble experiencia! La familia que me hospedó muy amables, me han hecho sentir como en casa. Exquisita comida. La escuela y la biblioteca se llena de niños con muchas ganas de aprender. La energía que transmiten es increíble. Luego la clase de adultos, con sus debates reflexivos e intercambio de opiniones. Durante estas 4 semanas no he dejado de aprender todo lo que esta nueva cultura y realidad tiene para enseñarnos. Marko y Sam han estado siempre muy atentos, ayudando en cada detalle. Muchas gracias!!! Aliento a todos a que se animen y vivan esta experiencia sin dudarlo.

I had an amazing five weeks volunteering here! The work can be tiring but it is amazing and so worth it. There's is heaps to do on the weekends and in your spare time which Marko will happily help you to organise if you need to. The families welcome you like one of your own and catered perfectly for my vegan dietary requirement. I would highly recommend coming and feel free to ask me any questions :)

Indescribable the energy that these children are able to transmit to us ... they are happy with very little and this makes us rethink many things about our lives. I came with the objective of teaching, but without a doubt I learned the most during this 1 month that I was here. Asante sana Tanzania!!

It was a life chaging experience! It was my first trip with worldpackers and it couldn't br any better. My host family was amazing and I could learn a lot of things with the kids. I alredy miss this place. Thank you Marko for the opportunity!

Being part of this project was a life change experience to me. It was incredible! Marko helped me even months before I went to Arusha and still helped a lot there, including when we were looking for safaris, etc. he became a friend - Rafiki as they say :) My host family was great, don't have anything to complain about. I miss everyone already! The other volunteers made the experience even better. And I don't have words to describe how much I loved the kids. They really need our support! I recommend for whoever is interested to do that. Asante Sana!
