White Rose Organization

We believe that a child’s future success and advancement in life is greatly influenced by their early educational experience as those who have go to school early develop an interest in education more than those who have not participated in early learning education – learning how to get along in groups, work under teacher supervision, etc. They also receive encouragement to express their feelings and ideas through building, dancing, and drawing, playing, singing and speaking. And thus, at the end of their pre-school years, they have become more competent pupils and will be more advanced in some of their abilities and be ready to master their new environment in primary and secondary education. We are located at Sanawari village -Arusha.

We hope that through volunteers support we can save and give lighter through education to our children for future and other generation.

My name is Marko Silas and am work with White Rose Organization and i'm volunteer coordinator as my position. The volunteer stay to our host family for all of their time they help our NGO and online stuff and in host family they get an opportunity to learn our culture and try variety Tanzania dishes. A volunteer can teach/work 4 -5 hours per day. Our volunteer need to have volunteer visa which allow them to work in community activities. And it's possible to get Volunteer visa upon you arrival at Kilimajaro International Airport (J.R.O). During your in classroom you will be assist with a resident teacher and help you to translate Swahili to English so he/she will give full of cooperation. On Friday it's known as sport day you will get an opportunity to be closed and more friendly with children's by playing and introduce different games. For a first day it could be orientation day, You will see how do they teach and they will show how you can teach and cooperate together to make easy for children's to understand. Tomorrow you will start with a resident teacher to cooperate together to teach and after that stuff they will give a timetable to know time and subject you can teach and which resident teacher you will be with him.

I absolutely loved my time here. Every day I learned something new, and my house was so amazing. They treated me as if I was their own daughter, and loved me as my own mother would. The head of the school that I was working at was so hands-on and kind. Even though the school doesn’t have everything, she always finds away, and I am so amazed by her and the other faculty. The school times are doable, and it leads you with a lot of open time to connect with other travelers!

I really enjoyed my time with Conjepta and her family. She is welcoming and caring. Unfortunately, I had to cut short my trip because I got sick but Conjepta & Marko took really good care of me, taking me to the doctor etc... hoping that I will get better soon.
I only got the chance to go the school a couple of times but I really enjoyed my time there. The kids are eager to learn and energetic and the other teachers are really welcoming and want to make a difference. I thaugh the kids some basics in French, English and Maths.
I would definitly go back if I get that chance again.

A great stay with Marko’s family. Conjepta provides everything you need and her family is lovely and welcoming. The kids at Ejos school are eager to learn and very respectful and appreciative. A beautiful experience overall

Volunteering with White Rose Organisation was eye-opening and rewarding experience. I began teaching the baby class but switched to Grade 5 with my partner, allowing us to connect more with the kids. We taught from 8 AM to 12:30 PM and return to our host family for lunch, then explore the city as the local library was often closed. The host family was incredibly welcoming—learning to make Ugali with Conjepta and exploring Arusha with her son Tyson were highlights. The school (Ejo's) and host family weren’t connected but both provided a meaningful experience that we won't forget!

My experience with Whiterose exceeded expectations. Marko was incredibly attentive, and staying with his family was wonderful. The hospitality at his aunt's house was exceptional, and Tyson became a great friend. The only downside in the school volunteer work was a lack of clear communication regarding roles and schedules, which could improve with better coordination. I've made lifelong friends, especially Sushil, and cherished afternoons at the library with Mary. The country is a natural wonder worth visiting multiple times.
