The Experience

I'm Mo and I'm looking for travellers who'd be interested in helping on a small alpaca farm. You will need to be really comfortable with animals as there are 42 alpacas and 3 dogs and 3 cats who are also part of the family. In addition to the daily work with the alpacas, there is always outdoor work to do on the farm. I work with the alpaca fibre and I enjoy teaching skills. English is the language of the farm and I speak quite good French.

My short stay at the farm was very heart warming. Mo and Steward really welcome you and include you into the life of the farm. Animals are the cutest and the tasks in the morning are very meditative ! The food was sooo good and enjoying it while listening to Steward's stories makes it even better. You can learn plenty of new skills there and I wish I could stay longer to get to know more of them. Thank you the farm for that little adventure :)

Glad you enjoyed your stay :) Sorry I was too late to get a review done for you - a close friend has just died and we've been helping his wife so things here are a bit behind. I'd have given you 5*! I'll send you a pic of the wall when it's pointed - you did a great job on the cleaning! Thanks for all that help - much appreciated.
Hope the Alps give you all that you hope for - enjoy!

Mo and Stuart are two very incredible, understanding and supportive people, who made me feel very comfortable during my stay. The atmosphere at the farm is truly amazing and there's a lot I was able to learn everyday, even about myself. I took beautiful memories with me, and had many lovely conversations with the two of them. And of course I had an amazing time with all the animals! I was able to da lot of things I never thought about doing before, which made me feel very proud and happy. Both of them are great cooks and I ate very well. :) definitely looking forward to coming back!

Mo and Stewart were the most wonderful hosts you can imagine! They are both very welcoming and great storytellers- they lived a life :) (they're also serious about good food!) I was very impressed by the community they've built for themselves in Trévé and the projects they are working on. I was happy to have been part of the little the farm universe with all the people and animals! The work in the morning was a nice routine (quite meditative) and the work in the afternoon rewarding as you could see results right away. Don't hesitate to apply, you will have an amazing time with Mo and Stewart!

Words cannot describe how meaningful this experience was for me. Mo and Stuart truly welcome you into their home and are willing to help with everything you need (even if its buying a pyrography kit 😂)! This experience made me feel like I have a home away from home! On top of that, the food was amazing, the work was easy and enjoyable and the place is beautiful!

It was my first time volunteering and it was an incredible experience from the very beginning. Every day there is something new and different to do and learn. Mô and Steward are sensitive and intelligent, they have a lot of patience to teach everything from practical tasks to random topics, we had many great conversations throughout the days, I ate very well every day, we went on different trips and they both make you feel part of the family effortlessly, they have a beautiful life and it was great to be part of it for a while. I recommend it to anyone who wants to break and clear their mind!
