The people working here are lovely :) The work is physical but generally quite straightforward, and the agreed-upon tasks and hours are always respected. I had a lot of fun hanging out with the other volunteers and staff. The hostel also provides the basics for breakfast and lunch, as well as free drinks at the bar, which was very nice. I personally think it is more fun to be here during the busier seasons, as there are more travellers coming through and the evening events are livelier.

I had a wonderful time during my stay in hostel the hostel! The vibe felt very welcoming from the beginning and it was really easy to get along with the staff and other volunteers :) Even though it's not a paid position you get a bit of pocket money and food provided, which means that you don't really have to buy a lot of extra stuff by yourself! On demanding days with a lot of checkouts the work could be a bit challenging of course, but i felt like the hours and amount of work were reasonable and fair. It was definitely a great first volunteering experience! Thank you for having me!🌞

I had a great time in hostel the hostel! There's good atmosphere, nice staff, and you get breakfast, lunch and some additional pocket money and drinks at the bar. Good location to explore the city and the Netherlands. The work itself is absolutely fair but physical, you'll clean toilets and carry heavy things up and down the stairs so it can get quite demanding on busy days. Also, the volunteer the hostel could have been better than a basment with zero privacy, but I was lucky to have an amazing team so it made it bearable. Thanks for everything! :)

I had an amazing experience during my stay at Hostel the hostel! The atmosphere was welcoming and it quickly felt like home. Not only did I receive breakfast and lunch every day, but they also provided a little extra money for food and even went shopping weekly to make sure we had more than enough, which basically covered dinner as well. The location of the hostel was perfect, making it easy to explore the city and enjoy everything Rotterdam has to offer. I'm truly grateful for the time I spent here and for the wonderful people I met along the way.

Great location and great team:) There was always someone to talk to and always something to do. the hostel that you share with other volunteers is cozy and you also get some basic ingredients in addition to great breakfast. Work can be demanding because it involves cleaning the toilets and carrying cleaning supplies and sheets up and down many stairs.. but you always get a break and coffee and help from other workers:)
