I had the most amazing time at ARA, it was beautiful to see how cared for all the animals and humans are ! The staff made me feel so safe and welcome and everything was exactly as described if not even better! Although I had to cut my time short due to illness it was the best thing I have ever done and would definitely do it again! Thank you so much for having me! I'll cherish these memories forever! And to anyone questioning whether to do it, do it!

Great experience for volunteers! I recommend visit the place without a friend, because getting to know the other volunteers will go faster if you are alone - and you will have a better experience. There is improvement to be made for the dogs, but all in its own time. the shelter trainer they hired is awesome, listen to him carefully and you will learn a lot 😊

This was my second stay at ARA. I really like this beautiful place. As a volunteer you have a lot of contact with the cats and dogs. It is also a great oppurtunity to meet other travelers, because there are always around 10 to 15 volunteers in the shelter. I learned a lot about dogs from the professional dog trainer.
