An amazing experience! This is a place where you will find a lot of people who really cares about animals. The staff is so committed. They respect the schedule and you will have a lot of time to socialize with the animals (which is what I loved the most).

My experience was amazing. Not only does the project and the staff incredibly help the animals, but they also create a save environment for volunteers. My experience at ARA has been amazing. I definitely recommend volunteering here, even if you have no experience with dogs or cats. Before I came to ARA I never walked or cuddled a dog before. So it was a lot of new experiences for me, but the staff members and other volunteers are very helpful and you can indicate if you don't feel comfortable with doing something. The location is beautiful and you have a lot of freetime to explore or cuddle with the dogs. A memory that I will carry in my heart forever 🩷

It was my second time at ARA, which already says a lot. I had a beautiful time here again. The staff really cares about the dogs and the volunteers. The experience at Ara was great. This dog shelter really cares about their dogs and cats. The staff is really doing his best to give the best conditions to the animals ; and thanks to that you can feel it, with the connection that you get with the dogs and cats, the tasks they're asking, the general atmosphere. The time I spent at ARA is simply incomparable and unforgettable. The staff make the place absolutely amazing, they care for the animals like nothing I've ever seen before and make every volunteer feel welcome and comfortable. And I will probably keep all the dogs and cats in my heart forever! I also met so many great and likeminded people with whom even bad weather was fun. This shelter is fully equipped with all the amenities and facilities that are needed to provide the dogs a very humane environment. The staff members are very friendly, helpful and professional. The living areas are very cozy and well equipped for cooking. We got a clean accommodation. I can only recommend this experience to volunteers who love dogs. We are really grateful for this experience and hopefully we will come back soon to help some more next year. 🙏 Thank you for everything ❤️

ARA is the perfect shelter to start your worldpacker journey with. They offer a good accommodation with lots of volunteers, all devoted to better the lives of the dogs. The way the shelter is organised is super clear and all in best conditions for the dogs. Leaving the place I felt very sad, but more for me missing the dogs and the people then for the dogs themselves, as I know they will continue to be loved and well taken care off. What was particularly amazing was the dogtrainer Hugo who would offer traininglessons twice a week! I learned a lot about dog (and human) behaviour through him!
