This is my third time here, and that really says it all – I absolutely love it! Working with the animals is so much fun, and everything is very well-organized. In the mornings, we start with a walk, followed by cleaning the kennels. Then, there's an daily task, like cleaning the bowls. After that, we have a few hours of free time – I often used this to work or focus on my master's thesis. In the afternoon, we bring the dogs back from the park, go for another walk, da second round of cleaning, and then spend time socializing with the dogs.

ARA never fails to go above and beyond. I'm so grateful to have been able to volunteer a second time (and counting)! It also wasn't the first time for the majority of other volunteers I met, which speaks volumes on how much of an imprint this organization has. The animals are treated with the utmost care and the volunteers are always heard. I commend the staff with the dedication and love they put into making sure absolutely every the shelter that enters ARA is well taken care of. I hope to be back soon!

Volunteering at ARA is an amazing experience that I would recommend to everyone. You truly learn so much, meet incredible people and most importantly connect with the sweetest animals. The work feels meaningful, is well instructed and everyone is always ready to help. We came to stay for three weeks, ended up staying for five and got to adopt the loveliest little puppy. I had just absolutely wonderful time at ARA! Originally my partner and I were supposed to stay there for 3 weeks but ended up extending our stay to 5 weeks and would have wanted to stay even longer. The athmosphere at ARA is very warm and welcoming, everyone is ready to help and wants what's best for the animals. The tasks were very doable and with the right attitude nice to do:) It was a great place to meet new people and make new friends. Not only did ARA give us good memories, we also adopted a puppy and are coming back here next month. I totally recommend this place for everyone!

Volunteering in ARA was an incredible experience. How ARA treats and takes care of the shelter is extraordinary. Animals (dogs, cats, goats, rabbits,..) have so much love and what is more they have a beautiful place they can call home and parks where they can play. I have met and connected with so many wholehearted and welcoming people. If you are an the shelter lover this is the experience for you :)!

We had such a nice stay at ARA! Once you get to know the routine and animals it's the perfect place to be with dogs and cats and meet new volunteers from all over the world. We would definitely recommend staying here:)

Unfortunately, I was only in ARA for two weeks, but the time was incredible! The staff and the other volunteers are super nice and helpful. I felt comfortable and welcome right from the start. The focus is on the animals and their welfare is close to everyone's heart. The work was varied and exactly as described. There is plenty of time to socialize with the animals, take them to beach or to the city. It is an incredibly special place and I will definitely come back in the future!
