Volunteering at Bill's English school was a fantastic experience. Bill is dedicated, friendly, and always makes sure everyone is comfortable. The local students are all nice and it's always a pleasure to teach them. Bill's mom also cooks amazing meals. Highly recommend this experience!

This experience was a highlight of our time in Vietnam! Bill and his family were so kind and welcoming and made us feel at ease straight away. Bill's mum is a fantastic cook and we tried many delicious local dishes. We had so much fun with the students. They were super enthusiastic and I learnt a lot about Vietnamese culture through chatting to them. I would highly recommend this experience!

Bill and his family and two cats are the loveliest hosts. They put us up in a very nice room with a balcony and his mum cooked the tastiest meals, very kindly adapting to our dietary needs. Bill had lots of great recommendations for what to do in the city and taught us a lot about local cuisine and culture. His communication was so great from the start and throughout. The 'work' element is very enjoyable as the students are very nice and so eager to learn. Can highly recommend this workaway!

This is my first volunteer experience through worldpacker app and its giving me a super impression. Bill always sending the schedule beforehand and always informing wether there is a change in the schedule, and also Bill always remind you to eat when the food is ready in the kitchen, so if you are a type who is shy, Bill will help you with it. Btw her mom is really a good cook, her food always taste delicious. When you start volunteer at Bill's, I believe you will feel like at home 👍🏻. Totally recommended ✨

Water-damaged wall leaking onto the floor. Ants all over the bed. Cat in heat following me from bedroom to bathroom every time I opened the door, meowing several times day and night. I felt very uncomfortable. Took pictures and video to show the host. One evening, I was scheduled for three classes back-to-back, four hours total with no break or prep time in between, in addition to a one hour class earlier that day. I felt disrespected. I was asked about food restrictions. I listed two things, one an allergen. Both things were in the food day three. I got sick and was in pain. nice students.

Unfortunately, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had in 7 years of hosting. I never refused any of her requests, yet she often found excuses to leave early. After leaving, she interfered with my project and even messaged future volunteers, telling them not to come. I felt harassed knowing she kept tracking my profile. I had to contact Worldpackers support for help. Hosts should be cautious before accepting her. If you want the full story, feel free to contact me.

From the moment we arrived Bill & His Family made us feel like we were family also. The food every day is amazing and honestly better than what you would get in a restaurant, a major plus is that you can use the families bicycles to get around the city if needed and also use the household appliances anytime you need. Regarding the teaching, an amazing experience. Not only will you feel empowered by helping students learn a second language, you'll also become like family with them. Most off the lessons are going to be late afternoon onwards so you have all the free time to explore the city

We spent 4 weeks at the project. Bill and his family are amazing hosts. The accommodation and the food were amazing. We felt at home the entire time. The working hours are as agreed with plenty of time to see some local sites and have free time. All the students are such a friendly and eager group. The made volunteering very enjoyable. I would 100% recommend to others who are interested in socialising with locals and teaching students.

Bill & the family are amazing, you will always feel welcome and get any help needed whenever. The students are even more friendly than I have expected, so you will learn a lot about their habits and Vietnamese culture. You mostly have free time in the mornings and around noon so you have a lot of time to explore and walk around. It is a really immersive and valuable experience.
