Bill is such a sweetheart, open to learning and always happy to answer any questions. If you need any recommendations around the city, he's definitely the one to ask! Bill's family took such good care of me that it felt like home ☺️ I'm really going to miss the students, they all welcomed me so warmly. They're dedicated and eager to learn One tip I'd give you is to prepare your classes based on their personalities and interests, it really helps keep them engaged As for the group classes, time flies! They're very participative, but the biggest challenge is their shyness. I highly recommend

This was my first volunteering experience and I couldn't have asked for a better placement. Bill and his family are so welcoming, and the food provided was excellent. Bill also welcomed questions on the local culture which was great to hear a local perspective. The students are kind and eager to learn. Highly recommend this!

I couldn't agree more with all the other 5 star reviews. Bill and his family made me feel so welcome and comfortable in their home from the moment I arrived. Bill takes a great approach to his English tutoring business, focusing on speaking practice through casual conversation and games. With Bill's help, I took small group and one-on-one classes for a few hours each weekday, leaving lots of time to explore the city. All the students were lovely and I felt like I gained a lot of insight into life in Can Tho. And having a second volunteer there at the same time made it extra fun and social.

This was truly an amazing experience. The host, Bill, and his family are extremely welcoming. The food is delicious! The accommodation is comfortable. The work schedule and class format are very structured and easy to understand. The students are usually young adults, eager to learn the English language. Also, Bill has a great list of attractions, coffee shops, and restaurants to visit. He also facilitated the booking for our bus. I highly recommend this volunteering opportunity.

This was truly an amazing experience! Bill was well organized with the schedule regarding the classes and would keep you updated if classes were canceled. His mom cooks very tasty and delicious food, we had no issues. Bill also provides you with a list of his recommendations for cafes or things to do in the city. We tried many of them and they were all very good. Bill also invited us over to have lunch with his in-laws out in the country, such a unique experience! Definitely do the tour he offers (floating market, fruit garden, rice noodle factory) it was one of the highlights! Gracias Bill!🙌

For a first experience, it couldn't be better. Bill and his family make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. I immediately felt part of their family and culture ! The food was succulent, Bill's mother cooks incredibly well !!! They are very attentive people who will treat you with the utmost care. I stayed in a very clean and spacious room. The courses are very well organized, either around conversations, games or a specific theme. The students are mostly aged 18 and over, and are extremely friendly. Thank you for the amazing memories that we shared together. PS: mot hai ba yo!

A truly unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, Bill welcomed me in with warmth and made me feel completely at home. He and his family were incredibly generous and kind, always making sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. During my stay, I learned so much about the Vietnamese culture - not just through the lessons with the students, but through daily life, meals and the many conversations with Bill and his family. It was such an authentic and meaningful cultural exchange that I'll always treasure. Thank you Bill❤️

We spent a wonderful week with Bill and his family! The work was about helping with some English classes, mainly focusing on conversation and learning games. We stayed in a large and comfortable room, with fan, balcony and double bed. We also had a shared bathroom with hot water. We had 2 meals a day, prepared by Bill's mom, who is an amazing cooker. Vietnamese food, desserts, fruits, really good! (For breakfast, we bought stuff from bakery nearby the house). Bill is an amazing person, very kind and always looking for our well being. I highly recommend this experience!

I truly had a wonderful time at BEnglish. Bill was such a kind, supportive and considerate host who always made sure that I was well looked after. The accomodation is really nice and comfortable and Bill's mum cooked delicious meals and provided lots of fresh fruit to every meal. After a while I was brave enough to ride around on a bicycle and that was very handy. I also checked out most of the places Bill recommended and especially enjoyed tour to the floating market. The students were very adorable and taught me a lot about Vietnamese culture. You won't regret staying in Can Tho!
