It was my first time doing the workpackers program. I was a little stressed and I didn't know what to expect but as it turned out, there was nothing to worry about. I can wholeheartedly recommend this experience.❤️ Bill and his family are wonderful and warm people. It was a pleasure to get to know them. When my boyfriend and I were sick, they took care of us, for which I am very grateful. The amount of work was just right and the time with the students was great! Thank you for everything💗I hope we will meet again!

Our volunteering experience at the project-English was truly amazing, Bill and his family made us feel really welcome and created a home-like environment for our stay there. The work was satisfying and the students were keen to learn, very cooperative. Working ours were as agreed upon so we had lots of time to sightsee the city and nearby areas. We also received help from Bill regarding the places worth visiting and went to the countryside with him, which was great. I recommend the experience for everyone looking to have a quality time while making some positive impact by teaching English.

I had a great time with Bill and his family! They were so welcoming and lovely. They invited me to family events and sitting and eating dinner together was such a highlight of my time. Thank you Bill and your whole family for giving me a home in Vietnam!

I had such a great time with Bill and his family! I felt really welcomed, and learned so much about Vietnamese life and culture. The work hours were pretty chill, you have enough time to do your own stuff and Bill is always willing to help if anything comes up. And a special thank you for the food! That was a great experience! Bill is a very welcoming, open-minded, and caring person as well as his family. I enjoyed the time spent with them and the students during our classes. I felt cozy and accepted and learned a lot during that week. Already miss family and the students. Definitely recommend this project if you want to learn about local culture and immerse yourself in it. Hope to come back there sometime in the future.

We were warmly welcomed by Bill in the house of his parents. His mother cooked great dishes for us all week long, and it was truly a pleasure to teach his students and a get a better idea of their day to day lives. We got some nasty food poisoning from having dinner in the city one evening which prevented us from socialising a bit more with Bill which was a shame but the opportunity was there.

It’s good to know that you had a great time with us. Just a bit sad that the experience was 4-star. You know, the food poisoning that you guys got in the city was not our fault. My mom always cooks very quality local dishes for volunteers. :)

This volunteering experience has been great 😊 If you are looking for a volunteering where you can get immersed within the local culture, this is your place. The accommodation and food are great, plus Bill is always willing to help you I had plenty of time to explore the city and to hang out with some students who showed me this city from a local point of view In regards to the teaching, it was easy as most of them were one to one classes, I just needed to focus on helping the students with their speaking
