The Experience

We are a happy family living with our friends – a community in a old farm in Blekinge, Karlshamn. We have a place where you can be yourself truly and we need a lot of hands. We have 30,000m2 field, 20,000m2 forest and meadow. We grow about 80,000 fruit trees and also vegetables, herbs and roses. We have bees and small flock of chicken. We mostly need help in-house and with farm work like weeding, harvesting, fertilizing, digging and maintenance:)

I worked in the café with my sister for a week and can only say that we had a really good time there. They have a lot of volunteers, so we made great friends and the whole team we worked with was great. We were provided with bicycles with which we could ride to the café and visit all the lakes in the neighbourhood. We can definitely recommend it and would love to come back. :)

This was my first Worldpackers experience, and really enjoyed it! The community at the community is warm and welcoming. From the very first day, I felt included and comfortable. The schedule required some flexibility between morning and afternoon shifts, but the working hours were fair, and the tasks were always clear and manageable. During my free time, I had plenty of opportunities to connect with other volunteers and explore the beautiful surroundings. If you are looking for a slower pace, kind people, and time to reconnect with nature, I would definitely recommend this place:)

My stay on the farm was an amazing experience. The host and the entire community were friendly and concerned about your stay at the farm. The work was nice, and everyone followed the rules regarding working hours, etc. There was plenty of time to explore beautiful nature, ride a bike, and swim in the lake.

The stay at the community was incredible and we got to know so many lovely people! I felt extremely welcomed and respected by all. The hosts always made sure to ask if everything was alright and if they should change something so that you feel more comfortable. The work consists mainly out of dish washing and helping with the B&B rooms which can be fun but was more exhausting than expected. I loved to work with Enrique and Anna …. Such lovely people!Furthermore was the food provided soooooo good. I definitely would recommend staying there :)

It was our (me and Gosia's) first Worldpackers experience and we absolutely recommend it. I had a wonderful time staying at the farm. So many amazing people to meet and many opportunities to learn (you just have to ask!). Meals were usually together which is great for connecting with others. Working hours and schedules were always respected and fair, and communication with Paulina and others were quick and easy. I would say there's plenty to do around for those who want to be active or just sunbath at the (many) lakes. So very grateful for the experience and people.
