I had an absolutely amazing time at the farm. Hege is a wonderful person and host, so caring, kind and warm-hearted ☺️ The work was also a lot of fun and Hege always made sure that everyone likes their tasks. There is so much to do in the free time like hiking, using the boat, ice bathing or just exploring the area. The farm is simply beautiful and the landscape is just breathtaking :) I am so thankful for everything and can only recommend this magical place ☺️

My experience at the farm was truly magical. Hege is the most lovely host. She is extremely caring and the amount of trust and appreciation we as volunteer received made it a pleasure to help her with the work. I had an amazing time with the other volunteers in our own volunteer house, which offers everything you could ask for The landscape is simply breathtaking, so in our freetime we did a lot of hikes and even went on boat tours and did icebathing So if you are looking for a place to reconnect with nature, animals and yourself don't miss the chance to come to this special place <3

First experience with worldpackers and it was the best. Hege is and incredible person and host: she' s caring, kind and helpful, she' s very organized and even if the work can be sometimes tiring for the body it's all doable and very satisfying! (Also she was always assuring that was okay for us and telling to take breaks if needed). The farm is really cool, the house was a welcoming home, nothing was missing and the views were breathtaking. Thanks to Hege's father (John) we had the opportunity to go fishing and visit the surroundings! Hege is a person with a heart of gold, highly recommended!

This place is incredible! Hege managed everything with alot of care for the volunteers. I felt save and welcome at her place. The task are so fun to do. Everyday is different, so the time flies. In your free time you can do so much. Go to the bay, go hiking or on the boat with the lovely John. I recomment it to everyone!

Our stay at Opplev the farm was truly unforgettable. We cared for alpacas, chickens, and rabbits, did halter training, and helped with barn construction—learning so much from Daniel. Work hours were flexible, making every day enjoyable. A huge thanks to Hege's father for the amazing boat trip, where we even got to steer, and the unforgettable fishing adventure in the fjords. The area offers fantastic hiking, sledding in winter, and kayaking in summer. Our cozy volunteer house felt like home, especially with sweet Tusi the cat. Thank you, Hege! We'll be back! ❤️

Staying at the farm was my first experience and I couldn't have expected better. I spent one month there and all I can say is that it was perfect. I learnt a lot about alpacas and how endearing they can be, as well as the chicken and rabbits. I am going to miss them! Hege is an amazing person too, she truly cared about our well-being and our interest in the tasks we had to work on. Thank you very much to John as well who taught us how to fish and accompanied us on his boat to visit the surrounding islands and the most beautiful viewpoints😊 I met a lot of nice people, thank you!

I stayed for two months, and the time flew. The place is amazing, completely surrounded by nature, with a lot of opportunities to hike, kayak, and more. The volunteer house is pretty nice and comfortable. The work was also nice. Taking care of the animals was fun, and it was also great to work outside when possible. We also got the chance to drive the ATV occasionally, which was fun. Hege is a great host, extremely flexible with work, and makes sure everything works out. Thank you for having me during these two months.

It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! The farm is beautiful, the house is cozy, Hege and Daniel are excellent hosts, the tasks are not hard, and I really enjoyed activities that I did in your free time such as hiking, biking, kayaking, sauna, cold plunge, etc. I highly recommend Opplev the farm!

If you want to learn about life on a farm, while gaining some practical skills and insight to the Norwegian culture, this is the right place for you. Hege is an amazing host; welcoming, flexible and always looking out out for her volunteers. The work is more than fair and Hege really tries to make sure that every volunteer has a task they're happy with. In our free time we got to do things like hiking, ice bathing and using the sauna. Additionally, John took us on an amazing boat trip and told us about Norway's history. Thank you so much for welcoming me! I had a great time :)
