The Experience

We are seeking dedicated and motivated volunteers to help develop our alpaca farm. We offer our farm as retreat from urban life to tourists/other people, and we do vegetable growing, alpaca walks/encounters, and occasional events in our barn. Sustainability is central to everything we do, from renovations to utilizing the land as a food resource. Volunteers will assist with a variety of tasks, including animal care and building projects.

I had an amazing time on the farm! Hege was the kindest, she made sure everyone felt comfortable. Living in a peaceful, natue-close environment was such a special experience and I met some lovely people there. I'm especially thankful to Jonh (Hege's father) for taking us on boat trips and fishing. The work itself was varied: animal care, fence building, oiling, etc... - mostly physical work, but all competely manageable. Hege was flexible about the work schedule. Everything was explained clearly, so I always knew what to do. Overall, a fantastic experience that I'd definitely recommend!:))

I had such a beautiful time at the farm The work was very straightforward and rewarding and Hege always made sure we understood everything and were confortable with it. I loved taking care of the alpacas in the morning and was so lucky to have not one but two baby alpacas being born during my stay ! I enjoyed so much the nature surrounding the farm, going for bike rides or a quick deep in the sea. And of course the star of the show, the boat trips John took us on were so much fun ! I would recommend this place in a heart beat <3

Volunteering at the farm was a truly meaningful and immersive experience for me. Hege was very welcoming and organized every aspect of the experience faultlessly—from getting to and living at the guest house, to showing/explaining the work and recommending activities to try in our free time. The landscape around the farm is really picturesque, and there are plenty of pursuits that one can do. Just to name a few, there's the possibility of fishing, cycling to nearby villages, hiking/running in the forest, and enjoying a boat trip to nearby islands with Hege's father, John.

This was my first experience with Worldpackers, and I had a great time. Hega is such a warm and friendly person, and from the very beginning, she did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The work was also very enjoyable. Of course, there were tasks that were perhaps not as much fun as the animal care, but you could choose from a variety of different tasks each day, which made it very varied. I particularly enjoyed the days when Hega's father took us on his boat tours and showed us the nearby islands. Overall, I would say the farm is a great place to find peace. Would recommend

The farm is a beautiful place, that I would definitely recommend! Hege made me feel welcome from the start. I stayed in the volunteer house next to the farm with 2-3 other volunteers. Once a week Hege took us grocery shopping. The work was quite demanding but we could always chose what to do from a number of tasks. We were also free in chosing our days off or when to start work/take breaks. Hege explained everything carefully and was always there if we had any questions or problems. Highlights: Newborn baby alpaca (so cute!), alpaca sheering & boat trip with Hege's father John!
