The Experience

We are seeking dedicated and motivated volunteers to help develop our alpaca farm. We offer our farm as retreat from urban life to tourists/other people, and we do vegetable growing, alpaca walks/encounters, and occasional events in our barn. Sustainability is central to everything we do, from renovations to utilizing the land as a food resource. Volunteers will assist with a variety of tasks, including animal care and building projects.

My experience at the farm was truly unforgettable! Hege and her family welcomed me with so much kindness and generosity from the very first day. The accommodation was cozy and comfortable, and the alpacas were just the cutest! The work was varied, fun, and never felt boring. I can only recommend coming here — it's the perfect place to start your trip. I couldn't have wished for a better experience. Thank you so much for everything!

Hege was more than welcoming. I've learned so many new skills, from learning how to take care of alpacas, chickens and rabbits to learning how to build a fence and a sheep enclosure. The tasks were fairly easy to do especially since I got to do them together with the rest of the volunteers. Hege was flexible with the work hours and was always there to help and guide us along the way. On my days off I had the chance to do so many fun activities such as kayaking, paddle boating, hiking and fishing with John (Hege's Father). I recommend this volunteering experience to everyone.

My experience at the farm has been truly memorable. The farm is a peaceful place where you can connect with nature, animals, and even your true self. For me, it was also a healing experience, and I'm so grateful to Hege for giving me the opportunity to volunteer in her world. She understood my difficulties with some of the daily tasks and gave me alternatives where I could contribute fully. The boat trip with John, Hege's father, was amazing! I absolutely loved it. I highly recommend this experience, and I hope to see Norway again soon ♥️

I had an amazing time on the farm! Hege was the kindest, she made sure everyone felt comfortable. Living in a peaceful, natue-close environment was such a special experience and I met some lovely people there. I'm especially thankful to Jonh (Hege's father) for taking us on boat trips and fishing. The work itself was varied: animal care, fence building, oiling, etc... - mostly physical work, but all competely manageable. Hege was flexible about the work schedule. Everything was explained clearly, so I always knew what to do. Overall, a fantastic experience that I'd definitely recommend!:))

My experience at the farm has been great. Landscape is idillic, being surrounded by animals (belonging to the farm or the forest the farm is in) is really relaxing and charming. I learnt new habilities I am now proud of (fishing, making bread). Hege is sweet and flexible with tasks. The volunteer house is a comfortable and nice place were you can enjoy Tussy's (cat and queen of the house) company. Work in the farm is physically demanding, make sure to arrive with energy, it is fulfilling to spend time in the outside and create things but you need the correct mindset. I definetely recommend!!
