I had the best three weeks at the Alpaca farm. The work was generally quite enjoyable especially on a sunny day when you can enjoy the beautiful view over the fjord. I loved being around the alpacas and going for walks with them, they're such adorable animals with so much personality. There are lots of things you can do around the farm in your free time, like going on boat trips, hiking, taking a bike to explore the countryside or on a rainy day - bake something sweet.

This was my first experience with worldpackers and I'm so, so glad I got to spend it at Opplev the farm! The work was really varied, felt rewarding and with many tasks to choose from it never got boring. I especially enjoyed taking care of the adorable Alpacas and chickens. The surroundings of the farm are stunning for hiking or taking the boat out. Hege's father even took us on a boat trip to some other islands which was amazing, thank you again! Hege was really kind and took such good care of us. All in all it was such a memorable, peaceful experience and I wish I could've stayed longer! :)

We had a lovely time at Opplev the farm :). Working on different projects on the farm outside and inside, as well as spending time with the Alpacas was a lot of fun! The nature is absolutely stunning and the people are very kind! I definitely recommend coming here :))

It has been a pleasure to volunteer at the farm. Hege put us instantly at ease on day one and gave us the freedom to pick the jobs that suited us best. It was a joy to work with her and the other volunteers, and I gained a lot of new skills. The landscape was breathtaking and even more spectacular in person. Being immersed in nature each day made the experience even more special. A special thank you to John for showing us the area, taking us fishing and sightseeing on his boat and explaining us the Norwegian culture. Thank you Hege and John for this amazing experience!

I had the most wonderful time🔅 Hege is a kind and inspiring women, the way she commits herself to passionately creating something that feels meaningful to her is impressive. You can learn a lot from her! We did a lot of manual work outside, which I really enjoyed. And Hege always made sure we were feeling good about our tasks. One of the best parts were the boat trips her father John took us on, we visited some lovely islands and went hiking and canoeing. All the volunteers are living together in a separate house, and we had a great time together. Absolutely recommended☺️

Our time at Opplev the farm was truly memorable. Hege is an amazing host and inspirational person who runs the farm with heart and soul. The work on the farm was always interesting and enjoyable. Feeding the different animals, walking the Alpacas or painting the house it never got boring. In our free time we got to hike up different mountains to stunning views, enjoy sightseeing trips with John or hop into the freezing ocean :) I can truly recommend this amazing experience. Thank you Hege!!

This volunteering was an amazing experience. Thanks to Hege, I learnt a lot about the work in a farm, from taking care of animals and gardening to building and painting. She is very kind and open. Thanks to John, I discovered the Norwegian culture and some great viewpoints. I come back home with beautiful memories!

Volunteering at the farm was such an incredible experience! I was the only volunteer for the first week, but I felt more than welcome from Hege and her whole family. They invited me to their family activities such as a boat trip to an island on easter and also Heges dad showed and told us a lot about the place and the norwegian culture. I loved taking care of the animals (especially the baby rabbits:)), but also the other tasks were fun and never really felt like work. Time went by too fast and I wish I could've extended my stay. I'd definitely recommend volunteering at the farm to anyone!!

Hege is a great host, her welcoming spirit, helpfulness and kindness was always apparent. She almost always gave us multiple tasks to choose from so we would be happy with the work. She was also happy to give us advice on what to do in our free time. Daniel, her husband, wasn't as involved with the volunteers, but he was always kind when I met him. John, Heges dad, was also very kind to us. He took us out on his boat for fishing trips and to show us the nearby islands, and he would tell us a lot about the history of the place. I would love to come back, and I recommend this place to anyone!

Life on the farm has it all. From the varied work outdoors and with the animals to the crafts in the barn, you can learn a lot about life on a farm. This place is absolutely magical because the nature you live in is breathtaking and easy to explore.Hege's father John showed us the most beautiful places of the fjord, fishing and much more. It's always important to Hege that you enjoy your work and she's a very warm-hearted and kind person who will make your time here unforgettable. You're welcomed with open arms from the very beginning. Thanks for everything. Highly recommended.
