Being in the school was a great opportunity to learn a bit about vegan/vegetarian cousine and meet amazing people from different places. I could practice my English and improve some skills. The tasks are not hard but sometimes the place can be really crowded which requires us a bit more of effort. I enjoyed every moment there so thank you very much for the opportunity and hope to see you all again at some point. Best wishes :))

I had a great time at the school. The two months I stayed almost flew by. Working with Chala, Milena and Ruth was really great, everyone is super friendly, patient and understanding to someone completely new to the kitchen. Most of the shifts were very fun, although some shifts consisted of just cleaning different areas/rooms of the restaurant or stock rooms, which was always done only by the volunteers. The work is not that hard and you get in the flow of the kitchen pretty quickly. Overall I really enjoyed my first ever Worldpackers experience here a lot!

The work is fun and you can definitely learn a lot about cooking. The work can be hard and more then expected but it's mostly fun!!Ruth, Milena and Chala created a nice working atmosphere which is pretty well organised. The team is nice and welcoming. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The place is well located and the room you are staying in is fine.

Working at the school was a good way to improve my cooking skills - you get to learn new vegan recipes and try them out for yourself. It's well located, and only a short train/bus ride away from many cool cities in Western Europe. The workload was a bit demanding at times, but either way I would still recommend to someone who's interested in learning how it feels like to work in a restaurant. Hosts are respectful and the pocket money provided each week is a plus!

The experience helps you learn a lot of recipes and different ways of cooking vegan the school that would be hard to find in other place that wasn't a vegan kitchen. I found that because you also do service, when the restaurant is full you don't have much opportunities to cook, and I would have liked to cook more. The staff is kind and attentive.

You get to learn to cook, prepare and serve vegan the school. We met other volunteers from all around the world and we got along quickly as you get to share meals and shifts together. You also get to interact with the locals when you serve the costumers. If you are interested in this great experience you should know you will be required to be flexible with the shift hours and the school you will be provided with can feel a little restricted. Alistair and the volunteers were very nice to us. I would recommend this experience

My stay at the school in Antwerp was great! The staff members are all very kind and caring. Of course you should be interested in cooking (especially vegan) and service tasks shouldn't be a problem for you either. The atmosphere in the kitchen is relaxed and everything will be explained to you from time to time. I already tried some of the recipes from the restaurant at home, so it was really worth it.

I had a good time in Antwerp, I learned very nice things in the kitchen and also got to know the city very well. The bedroom for the volunteers it's perfect and all the school as well! If you are looking for a very fun and social place where you have the opportunity to meet new people maybe this is not the best experience for you. Our contact with the guests it's usually very short so basically all the time you are only with the volunteers (usually 3), sometimes I felt a little bit lonely. But if you are looking to practice english and improve your cooking skills, this is the place for you! 🥰

The school is a nice place to be. The tasks might be confusing since volunteers are in charge of serving, cleaning and other things related to the restaurant besides cooking. Sometimes can be a bit boring since the menu changes every two weeks, so there's not much new things to do or learn. It kinda feels like a job, I'd like it to be more of a volunteer experience, since it's not easy to meet other people and the hosts don't seem very interested in other activities besides the work. Alistair is very nice, he's open and very easy to talk to. Bed & the school are great! Sadly, not fully vegan.
