I had a great time at the school. The team is very welcoming and genuinely fun to work with. During my stay, we learned about cooking as well as how the restaurant operates, and helped with cleaning tasks for the restaurant. The building is only about a 20min walk from the city center, and there are plenty of great day-trip destinations for your free days. Overall, it was a nice experience.

It was a beautiful experience! Ruth, Chala and Alistair are amazing people, super helpful. I learned a lot working with them. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very welcoming and stimulating, it is pleasant to work with. The accommodation is good, plus in a twenty minute walk you arrive in the city centre. I recommend this experience to anyone who likes to cook and meet new people!

Lovely stay! The volunteer I met made everything worthwhile. I hope to keep in touch, and I definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Belgium who wants to learn some cooking skills!

The school is a very friendly and calm environment to work in. The chefs guide you in most of the tasks and they are very open to help. the only flaw that i caught is that sometimes there is a lack of communication about the organization of the school that we are supposed to use and of the shifts. these informations i think they should be told before getting there or in the bio. There could be for sure some improvements in the cleaning. overall it was a very beautiful experience that enriched me and got me close to the vegan and the restaurant world.

It was a very good experience indeed. This was my first time volunteering and I had quite a lot of firsts along side with it. The other volunteers were nice and Chala, Ruth and Alistair made me feel welcome. During my time there, I had the opportunity to grow, learn and deal with responsabilities in a non-pressure enviroment. the school has a great idea, but there's a few things that could be changed to really *be* great. I'm very thankful for everything and I hope to be back someday.

I spent three months in this restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience! I had a great time with Chala and Ruth, who helped me a lot. The work is not particularly demanding, except occasionally on weekends, but nothing too intense. The shifts are extremely flexible and are communicated weekly. If you're looking for an alternative to the usual hostel offers, this could be the perfect choice for you! The city is beautiful and offers plenty of activities for young people. Moreover, thanks to its strategic location, it is the ideal starting point for visiting many other nearby cities.

My experience at the school was reallly nice, i had a good time there. the school was great, the work is preparing the school to serve in the restaurant. The shifts were always good and fun! I think a better communication, just in general, sometimes would make the place much better! But i had a good time, the city is so pretty and i meet really nice people. :))

Great experience! For me it was the perfect choice as I was planning to move to Antwerp and I got to experience living in the city beforehand. Also I gained a lot of confidence in the kitchen and got to learn a lot of recipes! Chala, Alistair and Ruth are wonderful people to work with! The only thing I would say is that It can get a bit lonely ( not a lot of volunteers or spaces to build community…).
