I had a really good time at the farm. I learned about sicilian cooking and flavours of the place( olives, capers, carrubo), about the local culture ( we went to the beach, tried arancini, gelati, visited Siracusa etc) Daria really wants to show Sicily for the voluntaries. Everyone there is like a family, warm, nice , funny. Sometimes I felt them like a caracters in a film. Maybe my experience could be better if my italian was better, but the english worked any way. I learned to adapt, to be more resilient too. I think a little bit more organization in the kitchen would be good .

My stay at the farm was phenomenal! Daria is one of the most loveliest and interesting persons I got to know in my life. A mix of the caring sicilian nonna and a bohemian cosmopolitan. With her you can talk not only sustainable gardening, but also theatre, history or spirtuality. She was very concerned with giving me and the other volunteers enough time off to relax from the sometimes intesive work, both with guests and in the land. I had the pleasure to immerse myself into sicilian culture and meet some of the most fascinating people. Would love to come back one day!

Great stay in the farm with Daria, her friends, and the other volunteers! Everybody is welcoming and kind, I could discover the Sicilian way of living, it was really great! :)

I had a beautiful experience at the farm with Daria, Giani, Gaetano and Marco, with the others volunteers Marius and Benjamin, and older volunteers who were there to visit, to help, to share!! The dogs Luigi and Dana, the cats and the chickens โ€ฆ the farm is a beautiful place, Daria is a strong woman who talks important historical and philosophical things and has fun stories. Is a wonderful place to be in the Sicilian culture. I learned a lot just being and listening Daria, Giani, Marco e Gaetano. I felt part of the family, and a lot thanks to Marius and Benjamin who were really nice time!!

Despite some good aspects like delicious food and the host, Daria, letting us borrow her car since there is zero public transport, we still shortened our stay from 3 weeks to 10 days. Some of the reasons included doing tasks not specified on the world packers page, lack of communication about working hours, witnessing Daria grope one of the other female volunteers during a lunch together. And on the morning of our departure, instead of a civilised goodbye, Daria threw the car keys at us then said, โ€œciao!โ€ in an aggressive manner and walked off. We're really disappointed with this experience.
