It was a pleasure beeing at the farm. Daria is a very open minded, educated person and has lots of story's to tell. A very familiar Environment. For example most of the time we were eating together. It something feels like you a part of an italian movie. The ability to be flexible and adapt to everyday tasks is very useful. At the same time she cares about the volunteers having a good experience in Sicily. Thanks for having us :)

My experience at the farm was like a dish full of flavors, each one leaving its mark. Living with Daria was a lesson—so much wisdom in her ways and such sensitivity to let every volunteer express themselves with respect. A modern, elevated woman. I was lucky to meet Jakob and Clara from Germany, free and inspiring people. Dominique from France, a woman who radiates adventure and maturity. Paola from Costa Rica, a great companion to share the feelings of such a unique volunteering experience. And Ara, the person I had the privilege to live this with. I love you ❤️‍🔥

It was a transforming experience. I learned a lot in this place, from Daria, from Sicicilia and from the other volunteers: Domi, Paola, Clara and Jakob. I loved being able to understand and learn about life in the farm. Learning about the carrubas, Daria's cooking and listening to her stories. At first it was hard to adapt because it was a very different routine and place from where I come from, but this is what I came here for, to get out of my comfort zone. I am very happy and I thank Daria for everything she did for us. She is a great woman.

I had a really good time at the farm. I learned about sicilian cooking and flavours of the place( olives, capers, carrubo), about the local culture ( we went to the beach, tried arancini, gelati, visited Siracusa etc) Daria really wants to show Sicily for the voluntaries. Everyone there is like a family, warm, nice , funny. Sometimes I felt them like a caracters in a film. Maybe my experience could be better if my italian was better, but the english worked any way. I learned to adapt, to be more resilient too. I think a little bit more organization in the kitchen would be good .

My stay at the farm was phenomenal! Daria is one of the most loveliest and interesting persons I got to know in my life. A mix of the caring sicilian nonna and a bohemian cosmopolitan. With her you can talk not only sustainable gardening, but also theatre, history or spirtuality. She was very concerned with giving me and the other volunteers enough time off to relax from the sometimes intesive work, both with guests and in the land. I had the pleasure to immerse myself into sicilian culture and meet some of the most fascinating people. Would love to come back one day!
