Helping in my restaurant

I had a great experience volunteering at Luuk's restaurant. The work is very relaxed, the customers are very kind (they all speak English). The place is quiet, with lots of beautiful scenery and a small cove next to the restaurant. There is also a supermarket and shops that can be useful. I learnt a lot about Dutch culture and got to know some very interesting places. Luuk cooks very well, so you won't have any problems with the food. I recommend volunteering.

The host di the host my second volunteer. A really incredible place, I met a volunteer from Brazil Patricia who was a good adventure companion. Luuk is a good host and prepares delicious meal. The customers are very friendly. Heeg is a small but beautiful town where you can walk and feel peace. Luuk respects days off and working hours. I would come back as many times as possible. Thank you very much Luuk😊

I had an incredible time with Luuk and the other volunteer at the restaurant! The food is amazing, and the locals are really nice and welcoming. The restaurant is at a small village; there are really beautiful landscapes, and you can visit cities nearby on your free days. The tasks were easy; you have plenty of time to rest and practise your English. 🤗😊

My experience with this host was disappointing the listing on Worldpackers does not fully reflect the stay most things agreed upon on the listing like breakfast lunch, bikes, surfing were not provided and the internet there is unusable. There are a lot of rules u have to follow. I did not feel welcomed probably had one conversation with him throughout a week he seems to not really care about the people there. The listing was misleading and should be changed and I would not recommend this host to any future travellers.

We, me and the other Worldpackers were happy you left: strange, no teamplayer, and very wearsd to leave at 06.00 am, without saying anything. So at the end, you are happy to leave and I am happy you left!
Everybody satisfied and I surely don’t recommend you to another host!

I stayed for a month and as it was during the low season, the work was not overwhelming and everyone had they're task helping in the restaurant. Luuk prepares really delicious meals for us every dinner and heeg is a lovely village. You can get to the nearby towns by bus or renting a bike, as the village is very small there's no much to do, you can find supermarket, pharmacy and restaurants close though. I met lovely people there! Really good experience :)

This was my first volunteering experience and it couldn't have gone better. Heeg is a small but a lovely village. The work is straightforward and easy to learn. As the other volunteers have mentioned, the food that Luuk cooks for us is very good. Luuk has been a very good host. He is friendly and takes good care of the volunteers, while also giving us plenty of space to enjoy our days. He's also happy to pick you up from the station when you first arrive. My stay in Heeg was wonderful and I will always have fond memories of it. I would definitely recommend this experience!

A unique experience. Luuk is a very good man who always tries to help and teach you, and his meals are delicious. I have no complaints about anything; the village and its surroundings are very beautiful and perfect for disconnecting. Also, The girls I shared this experience with became friends. I highly recommend it—an amazing experience!

It was my first volunteering, something totally new, I recommend the experience. A place to rest and connect with local people and learn new skills. You can use bikes and eat delicious food prepared by the chef.

It was my first volunteering and I couldn't have chosen a better place! from the first time i felt comfortable there, the team is super friendly. We usually took the bikes in the mornings and went to visit the villages. Sometimes Luuk took us to places. He has always been very good with everyone. The work is very simple and we always help each other, there is a very good working environment and if we have any problem Luuk is always there to help. He is also a very good chef! The village is small but has everything you need to have a good time! I would definitely repeat my experience there!
